Sign-ups for CPL3 have now concluded! If you have not already signed up but you still want to participate you will be added to a wait list. If space opens up people will be added on a first come first served basis.
The ladder reset as well as many new faces to the CPL this season make a draft challenging. To help our team captains decide who to pick for their team we will be running a small Pre-Season Tournament. This event will last 3 weeks and consist of 3 Swiss rounds. Players who have signed up in the CPL sign up thread will be divided into separate Tiers of skill level. Each of these Tiers will compete independently to get a starting record to be used in the league draft!
Tier 1 ~1650+
Tier 2 ~1350 - 1650
Tier 3 ~0 - 1350
These Tiers are estimates based on reported MMR and historical information about a player. They are subject to change throughout course of the CPL.

We understand that the normal league of CPL is not a weekly commitment. If you cannot participate in the tournament for one or more weeks that will not exclude you from playing in the regular season. If you are unable to play for a particular week or for the entire duration of the tournament please let an admin know.
Failure to participate AND zero communication with an admin for the duration of the tournament will result in you being dropped from the draft.
Registering:
All players must check in with a discord administrator. If you are using different player/discord information than what you signed up with please let us know. If you cannot play for one week or more please let us know. Complete radio silence for the duration of the seeding tournament will result in a player being dropped from the draft of the regular season.
Format:
- Three Swiss rounds of Bo3.
- Loser picks next map from map pool. Maps cannot be played twice in a series.
- Default channel for all CPL matches is USWest in channel CPL.
- Default game deadline is Sunday 15:00 Eastern each week.
- Walkovers will be awarded if only one player is present after 20 minutes beyond the game deadline.
Map Pool:
Autobahn (2) Polaris Rhapsody (2)
Sylphid (3) Aztec 2 (3)
Roadkill (4) Circuit Breaker (4) Fighting Spirit (4)
Schedule:
Brackets will be generated after check-in is complete on September 9th.
September 9th - September 16th. First Map: Circuit Breaker
September 16th - September 23rd. First Map: Polaris Rhapsody
September 23rd - September 30th. First Map: Aztec 2.1
Playing Early:
CPL has players from all over the world and we try our best to be accommodating for different timezones.If you cannot play at Sunday 15:00 Eastern you must coordinate with your opponent to find an earlier time to play. This time must be agreed upon by both players no later than 19:00 Eastern on the Wednesday before the match deadline. Opponents should be reachable via bnet, discord, and TeamLiquid. If you cannot get in contact with your opponent for any reason please reach out to an administrator as early as possible.
Once an earlier time has been agreed upon by both players this will be considered the official match time. A walkover win will be granted if an opponent no-shows for the agreed upon time.
Reporting Games:
The winner should message their tournament administrator and provide replays of all the games through discord DM. If a game is particularly entertaining please let your administrator know and we will give it strong consideration for casting.
Additional Rules:
- All games must be played on Fastest game speed.
- Random is not allowed.
- No stream watching, map hacking, or observer whispering that gives information to players is allowed.
- Allied Mines is not allowed.
- Stacked worker bug while attacking is not allowed.

Thanks, I meant to specify that. Default meeting server is USWest in channel CPL.

Noob question, but when I'm using the maps from this pack to practice, how do I ensure that both myself and my opponent spawn at the correct location? i.e., when I try to play on Autobahn, there are 6 extra player slots when beginning the game, and 6 extra spawning locations in the middle left of the map. In other words it acts like an 8 player map for me, as do all the maps from this pack.

switch it to "use map settings" mode and place yourself in the player slots to 1v1

Those extra slots are old school observer slots Just switch to 'UMS' Use Map Settings when hosting

Thank you castleeMg and fazek42, but that only seems to work in multiplayer & without computer opponents, so I'll have to grab Autobahn and Sylphid elsewhere as well.

The tournament is underway, and you can see matchups on the discord! Round 1 needs to be done by Sunday (6 days from now) so get on the discord and set up your matchups!
