Players coming from countries not listed above can be integrated judging case by case, if an integration is not possible we reserve the right to reject those players.
FORMAT
- Double Round Robin system (every team meet each other twice)
- Three sets:
• 3 per 1v1 Bo1 (these players can also play ACE or 2v2)
• 1 per ACE Bo3 (this player cannot play 2v2; this player can also play one 1v1)
• 1 per 2v2 Bo3 (these players can also play one 1v1)
- One point for match won, +1 extra point to winner team (best score 5-0 = +6 points)
- Hybrid elimination playoffs
SCHEDULE
- 14 weeks + playoffs
- Every Sunday 19:00 CET
MAPS
- Starting map given, then loser pick any, no double maps
DISCUSSION
As you can see we have made big changes on teams, I am personally displeased for the fact that we had to merge countries, going to lose the sense of "Nation" itself, anyway we preferred to run a more balanced League giving the chance to recruit higher lvl players to all teams.
Also the Nation Wars format changed, trying with the best of one 1v1 series and implementing an ACE at best of three. This may bring the fights vs stronger team in the paper funnier and not predetermined.
We are open to discuss topics like teams, format and maps before to start, so we can improve something if possible.

Nice to see a second season coming up, but the proposed format right now is pretty random. Why make the regular 1v1s Bo1 but the 1v1 ACE match bo3? Doesn't make much sense. You could argue for 2v2 being bo3 because it is usually faster I guess, but this format right now is just weird.
Do I assume right that every 1v1 will have the same starting map? I hope that is not the case to make lineup choices more significant.

The format is good from observer's point of view. He gets to see 3 BO1 1x1 games, where 'the better' player is not a guaranteed win, because 'the weaker' player can prepare some strategies on a given map. Then we get to see ACE BO3, so the strongest will fight each other little bit longer than BO1. So everything was made to satisfy the observer and I think that's what admins wanted to achieve.
I'm wondering if 2v2's should be BO3 or BO1, but since 2v2's are often very short, it's ok to make it BO3 (or again maybe its not, because why should 1v1 players have possibilty to prepare a certain strategy, and 2v2 players not?)
From player's point of view, the format is a bit random in terms of results. BO1 doesnt show clearly who is the better player. There is also a matter of showing up for just 1 game and I hope players will have motivation to show up just for this 1 game, I certainly will.
What to improve? Since we are having 2 rounds, we could dedicate 1 of them to be --> Winners league format. Then question, do we make it 4 players vs 4 players 1v1 only, thus excluding 2v2? I think Winners league could attract some people to come and see it.
The previous season was good for players, BO3, a lot of Fighting Spirit. Now we are having season good for spectators.

3 1x1 1 2x2 and a forced Ace match (u need to play this one even if no draw ) is a bit to much.any reason regular games are reduced to bo1 ?
btw since is bo1 this mean we will have 3 different maps for the 3 1x1 ?
and Ace match will have a particular map for the 3 sets or losser choice ?

I miss the point of coming every sunday to play for a 5 minute all-in. Should be bo3 1v1 matches. This is a step back from a good format.
If you want good matches - kick all nub macro maps allowing easy 3rd with gas (fs, jade, etc.) and you'll have nice games.
3x 1v1 - very small matches, especially when the teams are being reworked to include more players.

The organizers need to be more definite about the system, I mean they wanted to change things, but this way it is too mixed up, like others said. I suggest to make it all games either bo1 or bo3, and if they decide to be it bo1, it`d be good to know the maps (different for all sets) and opponents in advance, altough the opponents might not be possible considering today`s terms.

Well, we managed to scrape by without any tech losses by using almost all wild cards and fielding C-level players on various occasions. But I wouldn't call that no problems and the activity certainly won't increase.

with new format(bo1) C players can win now players activity should be higher(not summer).

We(Peru) request not to be merged with any other country as we have enough players and most importantly we dont get along with any other country and is already causing troubles.

There are not many countries that u would be merged with. Practically, only Chile. Other, less important, are Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay but there are hardly any top players there.

Just 1 question, because i'm not sure. If I put Bonyth, Koget, Julia into 3x 1v1, Trutacz into 2v2, is it possible for Trutacz to play ACE? I think your intention was to not let a particular player play in 3 sets in a single nation war but its not written in #1 so that's why Im asking

Not possible Bonyth, ACE will be played using a 2v2 slot, but the reporting bug remains.
2v2 players cannot play ACE, sorry. I will ask if we have 3v3 slots available, but I doubt.

I feel like instead of doing these random BO1 sets, wouldn't it make sense to do a korean style CW?
e.g.: 4v4 ; Player A vs Player B (from each team).
Player A wins, so player A stays on. Opponent now sends Player C.
So we have Player A vs Player C.... And so on. Korean style. If you win, you stay on. This format is VERY exciting, and it still incorporates that "bo1" format you guys have already suggested.
This is what they do for clan-leagues on Fish, and it's always provided tons of viewers and the way it's been. Why don't we adopt this as well instead of making this random format that makes literally no sense.

yeah korean style would b fun. It would also require less players to b online right at the start of the nw, so we dont have to wait forever for late players or lineups

just throw all players in a pool, rank them based on earlier tournament placements or whatever and then make balanced, new teams. imo we should be able to get 64 players, 8 players per team for bo7 winners league (4 players needed for cw)

That's not true; sure you guys in Poland will be pretty stacked sending You, Bonyth, koget, etc etc. Some teams may not even beat your first person (aka all-kill for those who are familiar with the korean phrases).
But it STILL uses the bo1 format that the moderators initially proposed which really doesn't change the outcome much anyways. This actually uses their suggested format + add the korean style to it for a much better viewing experience and more fun for players, too.
Let's face it - the way the countries are - it will never be truly balanced.

The lack of LP entries was a pure result of us not having sufficient manpower (read: someone good enough with LP) to make a decent page happen. We hope to find somebody for season 2 and im currently actively asking around as well as we already did ask for it in Public.
And yes you're right. Our main purpose merging the teams is to make it more likely all teams CAN compete and we see LESS to no walkovers.
In my estimation, that is not a unrealistic hope to have: New team Euope basically combines the player pool of the "World team" and "Team Germany" That add's quite a bit of potential. Think of it as adding Cryoc, yourself, Vanatir (mainly 2v2) and remag to the list of WU.
Team Scandinavia had a good enough player pool last season, but had internal difficulties in the team. It's up to them to realize their potential because they have access to enough skilled players, keep in mind Marwin for ex. played Team Scandinavia. Also adding some players from the Eastern Team on case by case basis is not out of the question.
Same about potential in skilled players is true for Team America. Draw and Dragon are strong core players, a wide array of other players is available between ty2, assault, Sugo, Cute etc.
Peru appealed to our decision to merge them with Team America in this thread earlier because "we don't get along with other players". You'll read about our decision regarding that in the upcoming news shortly.

Also, I see the maps are posted....
I understand that we use the foreigner made maps and such (even though they're garbage in my opinion). However, can't we AT LEAST include FS / CB / TaeBak Mountains? I see Overwatch is in there at least.

You can pick FS/ CB etc. for game 2 and 3. I don't see any problem with suggested maps, will at least provide some variety.

Yea, different maps are cool, but IMO it's too big step not to see FS or CB in any week as a first map.. You want to force people to play ICCup maps - that's cool, but keep the super standards somehow too.
