Hello Fans of Starcraft Broodwar!

The ICCupBWTV Team is proud to announce here, that we will provide an english coverage for the current ongoing C-OSL 6. After some long late night hours, i was able to contact the Head Admin of the C-OSL 6, Dingdang and convince him to share the replays for all the Round of 8, Round of 4 and the Finals with ICCup.com.

What is the C-OSL?

The Chinese our StarCraft League is probably the biggest chinese SC:BW Tournament held every year. The series was started in 2012 and is inspired by the chinese PLU Leagues.
The tournament is of high interest for any Broodwar fan for two reasons: Firstly, this iteration of the C-OSL is attended by notable Progamers in (P)

Movie and

ZerO and secondly, it is not a given that those are going to have an easy route to face each other in the finals, as the competition is very strong. In the Round of 8, not only korean Amateurs / Semi pro's like (Z)

ZeLoT and

Scan are poised to take them, also the top players of the chinese Scene, like

Zhanhun and (Z)

ICCup.com is going to cast all the games from the Round of 8 and onward. As of now we don't have a complete schedule for all our broadcasts set up yet, as we haven't had much time to plan ahead since we were able to reach dingdang himself. We do plan to keep it as close as possible to the chinese broadcast though.

Replays:

Replays for all matches will be provided after the respective broadcast in the ICCup replay section. However, you need to have a installed version of SC:BW with the 1.13f patch in order to watch them. So here is a small tutorial:

+ Show Spoiler +

- download the 7x Version Changer here
- unzip it
- run the installer.exe ( works fine for me, no problems detected)
- select Version 1.13f , thats the Patch the chinese -VS- Server operates on.
- click run the game
- you need a BW image mounted or CD in CD-Rom drive.
- afterwards switch back to 1.16 using the 7x Version Changer

Nice thanks for the effort, really appreciated. Cannot imagine how hard it must have been to get in contact with the head admin and then convince him to hand out the replays.

the harder part was actually the communication, he doesn't speak a lot of english (;

[Dingdang]That is because the VS Server uses the UDP protocol. If you’re operating system is Windows 7 or Windows 8 you can’t play on the -VS- Server, because the client will crash. That’s obviously not good and I am trying to contact the coworkers of the -VS- server to solve this bug.

I love how the vods look like they are played on VHS tape, that brings so much nostalgia. Reminding me of the times when i used to record myself playing starcraft from my pc to VHS tape and watching it on the tv lol.

Nice games, Chinese bw scene is worth a look. Looking forward to ro4 casts.

not sure what you mean here, i think the quality of the vods is fine ^^

No, we don't have a new date for the next cast, but it should be around this week, i will announce it when i know.

We will most likely cast Zero vs Fengzi and 334 vs Scan as well.
