I have to say tho, Pamir Plateau is a really really bad map. I think Pamir and 815 should be removed from mappool and replaced with maps out of the iccup ladder mappack. Cant even train this shitty Pamir and 815 maps when they are not in the iccup ladder mappack. Besides they are both just simply bad. I cant understand why you would keep such bad maps in the mappack.

Anyways gg. Not taking anyway away from you ggrrg...

Anyway, I agree that Pamir is a bad map. Any kind of contain feels too strong on it. Breaking a contain up that small ramp in front of the natural is really hard...
I like 815 but considering that the overwhelming majority of players seem to hate it, it would probably be better to replace it.

The Ramp is what makes Pamir Plateau quite unique, people have to adapt their builds to not get contained, or to improve their chances to contain their opponent, its not a bad map feature.
What is a bad map feature is that afaik there isn't a version that has fixed natural gas mining issues.

I feel that this limits the options players have. Basically, you have to opt for a really safe build in order to prevent the opponent from containing you. Even then, relatively small mistakes can cause you to be doomed if the opponent somehow manages to achieve a contain on you.

Are there no other reverse ramps in the iccup mappack? We have 50 maps to choose from and it is much easier to practice when you can ladder with tourney maps. Even better if one of the maps happens to be in the motw.

we should have gladiator and La Mancha in the map pool lol. Both good maps used in 2011 OSL etc...

I believe all of the maps aren't necessarily based off of the iCCup map pack, but rather, the maps that SSL/SOSPA uses. However, we've heard nothing from Lmaster about maps as he is quite busy so be possibly prepared to play on the maps for the following weeks to come, unfortunately.

Any updated results from SunKhan vs Stealth Bunnies yet?

might as well add Blood Bath and Challenger

@falling - there is no iccup map which has a high ground main -> ground natural -> high ground area past choke. Only on I can think of past proleague was Tears of the Protoss. Sniper ridge is the closest you will probably get... And that's just a ridge.

Mostly all maps are either
high ground main -> ground natural -> ground area past choke
or
low ground main -> high ground natural -> high ground area past choke...

There are some other ones, of course
low ground main -> high ground natural -> low ground area outside choke ~ only map to do this is (2)Chain Reaction, (2)Cross Game, and (4)Vin.
the inverse of this is Pamir Plateau.

but I have just been rambling on....

Noddy and I are playing later today and tomorrow, then it'll be finished.

Nah. 815 will be replaced by Neo Jade.

Pamir will stay, at least through round 1. After round 1 I will probably change it for a 3P map of some sort.

Why are we replacing 815 with a map thats not used in SOSPA anymore, and was used just last season in DRTL, when we have far better alternatives like heartbreak ridge? -_-
