nobody got the feeling ssak fixed the game? just watched the games. 2nd game he kills all wraith at 7oclock expansion...doesnt do any further damage... 3rd game he has several clocking wraith. he knows sea doesnt have scan. instead of killing tanks or scvs he flies around to 11 oclock? wtf? there were some more situations.even kim carrier said that this is really really weird....not understandable. that he felt silly commentating.

i mean there was match fixing before in sonic games...

It sucks to feel that way but Ssak had a huge lead in that game. I was casting the game outloud to myself and I was just like "oh now Ssak can just roll over Sea with his huge wraith lead". I'm confident I could have won that game from his postion. Let's just hope he had a really dumb moment.

really really hope so too eventhough its hard to believe that someone on ssaks skill level does several of those huge mistakes in one series.

That was a bit mystifying, but I think it was more or less part of Sea's plan. Sea was consistently transforming advantages in one resource into advantages into another resource all game (cloak tech -> faster third -> bigger push -> more territory -> 7 bases vs 5 bases). When it got to the 7 bases vs 5 bases point, I think the only reason he did not have more wraiths is that he was at 200/200. Even though his wraiths died, with his economy he was able to mass wraiths AND goliaths off 10(?) starports and 8(?) factories, while Ssak was stuck only massing wraiths. Wraith/goliath/turret > wraith, I guess. I thought Ssak was going to win as well, but really Sea was just waiting for his supply to get uncapped so he could spam a hardcounter to whatever Ssak was doing and with a better economy.

But I really don't understand what Ssak was doing in the upper left hand corner with his wraiths in game 3. You got me there.

Sea's play was great. Clean, precise mechanics are the norm these days among top players, but it's rare to see someone play with such strategical and tactical perfection. Everything in the right place at the right time. It's good to see him in this kind of shape!
May the BeSt man win.

why would ssak fix the game? What does he get from it? Sea's game was pretty clean and spot on from what I watched. Ya, Ssak had more wraiths but Sea had the much better eco(2 bases over with gas) and on par or more starports with lots of goliaths. We don't even know what upgrades he had either so he could've easily been 3/3 to 1/1 etc... Point is, there is no proof that such a thing happened and the facts we have point to Sea just outplaying Ssak.

As for that last game, well, maybe he was checking for hidden expansion with the wraiths. Reason? Sea being up 2-0 in the series might play risky in the last game and it'll be more likely further form his base than closer so corners are best place to check. Then when Sea became aggressive and kept it up, he came back to defend and Sea saved scan from their first encounter(when he lost some tanks to cloaked wraiths). I know what you mean though, no turrets and no scans so why not just go to the exp and attack? we don't know his reasoning and we can speculate like I did but again, doesn't point to any match fixing imo.

Edit: To make a mention, Sea might've seen the starport with the control tower, assumed cloak and saved scans etc...

what does he get from it? there are still illegal BW betting sites in korea...so brokers can reach out etc. everyones know the story. regarding ups. ssak had 2-1 on wraith or at least 1-1...dont remember exactly but sea had 0-0 thats why kimcarry was so shocked. when ssak had cloaked wraith scan wasnt up at the natural...moreover...hidden expo at this timing? and what advantage would ssak get, finding an hidden expo instead of killing 6-7 scv. anyways theres no proof but it was really really odd.

I don't know why sSak would fix the final instead of the semifinals. The odds would be high on Pusan as most people would expect sSak to win, and yet sSak 3-0's Pusan. In the final it's the other way around. The odds are in favour of Sea by quite a margin. Getting brokers to bet on Sea so sSak can matchfix would only make the odds go even further in Sea's direction. The money they would earn and the money they would pay sSak would make them go net 0 or not a very big +. There is no real reason why they would try to matchfix that match.

but wraiths damage buildings rather slowly and sea had like 7 starports there and goliaths right outside that base. Pulling back those wraiths when they are surrounded by ~9 wraiths(2 from main, 7 coming out from those ports) and goliaths on low ground would've been a bad idea because he would've lost most of his wraith without doing any damage(sea chases with his own) so he had to commit as soon as he walked into the base(had a short time to retreat). If he scouts it, he can get some SCV kills there if Sea went for a quick expansion. Yes, it's odd when you think about it and the timing is really early but as epoxide says below, it doesn't make sense when you consider the whole picture.
