1 gate might be a little extreme. I think it would force air because air is a hard counter to any significant reaver play, and it would be able to out mussel any goon/archon army that could be created off of one gate. It would be really cool the first few times, especially with some clutch maelstroms thrown in there, but I think an entire tournament of it would get stale.
What you really want is a limitation that creates more options than it closes off. So no goon could work, because quick zealot attacks or large archon forces could potentially stop air dominance.

what about maps like - Tornado, Fortress, Judgement Day, La Mancha, Grand Line, Monte Christo, Polaris Rhapsody etc  they are not old and they were played in PL or StarLeagues I would love if some organizers use them !

thats a damn shame.. they're really awesome maps
we need tournament organizers to use different maps, that would be awesome and we would see alot of good games and different strats
also - its not like those maps arent balanced or something..

Why not use La Mancha and GrandLine instead of Othello and Destination? La Mancha and GrandLine are way more up to date and less imbalanced

hmm.. I wouldnt consider either Grand Line or La Mancha as "wacky" they were played in PL and were pretty damn balanced..
