I know right? Such a dumb strategy. Too good for Flash to handle.

He'd have to win both leagues before he was undisputed Bonjwa. Bonjwa is a pretty heavy word, that's all there is to it D: I'm aware not all past bonjwas did that, but Savior won an OSL after winning his third MSL then lost the fourth. The timing in which the victories occur is more important than how many they have. Otherwise we'd call Jaedong a bonjwa, and most people don't.

Either way, to me, Flash is the kind of person who is really really really really really formidable in his mid and lategame. If a p/z player comes out of early game without a BO or "surprise" advantage, Flash is able to turn it to a win almost 95% of the time. Flash shows plenty of time how, as long as he isnt in a massive surprise or bo disadvantage, he can always climb back into the game miraculously because of his incredible mechanic. Whenever Flash decides to do a push, most of the time, it WILL succeed. This is shown brilliantly on game 1,2 his game vs action, kwanro, that he never pushes unless he is sure that he can win. Thats why it is difficult to find a "standard game" won against flash nowadays. Every time its 1 rax cc vs 3 hatch, every time its 12nex vs ccfaccc, Flash somehow is able to win. Most players fighting Flash has to find answers to fight Flash style with 3 hatch before pool, 12 nex fast arbiters, or anything that Flash might not expect to pull a win. However, unlike Bisu, who is well known for also having good mechanics 2 years ago, Bisu always plays safe. When he fights go.go, ur dam sure he is going to go 1 base fast obs, and expand. Thats how imo, Flash is different. Being a mortal he knows that he isnt immune from early game Build order advantages. He knows how to mix up risky 9 scout 14cc, 12cc, 8 forward rax play with his usual 1 rax CC style which makes him incredibly hard to predict. Sure, he is gonna lose once in a while for having a large BO disadvantage versus mediocre player. But no one will overpower him mid/lategame. And most players who pull wins vs this style are considered "cheap wins" anyways. To me thats how flash and jD are different from other progamers. Here's to another JD vs Flash next starleague. cheers!

Someone with 4+ golds under his belt with no rivals during his peak. And Flash doesn't satisfy either of these conditions. Especially because 14cc is as cheesy as 8rax.

And I care about statistics because? To me, ever since Mr. Ma came around, there hasn't been a legitimate "bonjwa". To me, there's no player that is unquestionably hands down THE best player in the world. I haven't had that feeling since Savior, when he would just completely annihilate ANYONE he played. I just don't get the same feeling with Flash. There are still a few players that can challenge Flash at a reasonable level these days (Like Jaedong, Effort, etc). There's just no clear cut absolutely dominant player today.
