Yes, and a year ago bisu was a monster, and now everyone is like he is the worst protoss ever.

your point?

Bisu has nothing to be embarassed of, he's given us years of dominance and great play. Effort disappointed us all by starting to slump in the middle of his rise to fame. But I'm delighted that he's started showing his true self again, though this series was hardly the most convincing 3-0 rape.

How was this series not convincing? it was like the worst roflstomp ever.

I feel like it's more about what Kal didn't, not what Effort did.

Look, I actually like effort (I just happen to like Kal more), and a year ago he was a zvt monster. However, its been a year, and effort's vT is terrible now. All I'm saying is that expecting him to play as he did a year ago (and flash to regress to his state from a year ago) is pretty unlikely. The way things are atm, I'm not expecting much from these finals, and I do think that Kal would have put up a much better challenge, and his games against Flash are usually very entertaining. Gotta play the hand you're dealt with I guess.
I'm going to sleep, let me get some of that carpet.

Worst roflstomp ever? Have you seen Flash's latest Bo5's?

Yeah, EffOrt fan that I am, I'd have to admit that this wasn't even the worst beatdown of the last week.

Thats not the point
They just dont want an Effort vs Flash finals...
Also i think Effort's play is pretty much proving that he is legitimately here... But whatever. No point in arguing with haters. GGs anyway!!!

Gayyyyyyyyyy. Why the fuck is Match Point always the map played twice for Flash? Get that shit out of the map pool already.

Yikes, Flash is 3-4 versus Zerg on this map.

At least he has time to prepare.

Well, lets look at how he lost those 4 games:

v JD: No turrets in main, gets owned by 12p lair
v Zero: Turret it main this time but still skimps turrets and gets owned by 12p lair
v Hyun: Skimps turrets gets owned once again by early mutas (forget the exact build)

vs Hyvaa is the only 1 he lost that wasn't in the early game (Fine, v Hyun lasted like 30 minutes but it was well over after the muta harass in the beginning).

I'm sure if flash decides to even cut scvs for 5 seconds to get like 2 extra turrets up its no prob. The natural mineral line is a nightmare to defend from uta harass

If ForGG knows how to defend against early muta harass on match point, then so can Flash. At the end of the OSL finals, match point will no longer be a weakness to Flash.

Then let's just go ahead and fix all the games so our favorite players win and we get the expected finals every time! That's a pretty irrelevant argument, all the more so because Shine probably wouldn't have made it past both Zero and Kal.

All I can say now is, the upcoming Proleague match between CJ and KT will be the acid test of each player's capability in the OSL final.
Or maybe the coachs will not (coincidentally) send Effort against Flash, which will not ruin the fun.

His vP is top notch, I didn't say otherwise. His vZ is pretty good as well. His vT is a disaster, and has been that way for a year. It's so far from S-Class now that I wouldn't even say its a slump.

I don't hate Kal, I think he's a good player and a good asset for STX, but I expected this kind of thing. I thought it would be 3-1 for Effort.

I want my Bisu back.

Check out EffOrt v. fantasy. Check out Flash v. any protoss.

I agree that Kal would give Flash a challenge, but I also know that EffOrt will, and I'm not convinced that EffOrt does this 'losing' thing anymore.

Either way, the LR threads of the finals will be an absolute horror to read since the only fanbase more annoying than Flash/Jaedong/Bisu fanboys would be CJ fanboys.

To all responses to my post:

The point was (besides that its a hilarious thought) that effort, no matter what happened in the group stages, is a much more deserving finalist than him.
And since he just roflstomped Kal, he's also a more deserving finalist than Kal.

I think Kal would have done better vs Shine, but yeah, Shine could have easily made the final too if he had won the tie-breakers.

Someone has forgotten how much of a ZvP beast Shine is when he brings his A game to it... Knocked out Stork and Bisu ( 3-1 and 2-1 if I get it right...) after losing to move 3-1 (who had beat Zero as well...).

What do you do against players like EffOrt, Jaedong and Zero who all has great anti-harass skills in ZvP.

You starve them to death when playing passive like Stork does vs Jaedong here.
