+ Show Spoiler [A few words about Effort] +
Kim Jung Woo is the new zerg in command at CJ Entus, following the footsteps of
sAviOr himself. Flirting with a 70% winrate throughout 2009, he was considered one of the best players of the scene, reaching a stunning 2311 ELO-rating peak, placing him amongst the legends of Starcraft on the statistical rankings. Burning out towards the end of the season, he failed to get high in individual leagues, his best record to date is a Bronze in the GOMTV Season 3.
Come 2010, he entered a mini-slump, struggling -and failing- to get his winrate above 50%. Recently people started accusing him of fluking his way into this semi-finals through one of the funniest/most awkward tiebreakers of OSL history with go.go and Shine, and a lucky draw in the Ro8 facing the out-of-form Zero.
Now it's his chance to prove the haters wrong, show off his always beastly ZvP, and earn his way into the Finals to face Flash.

+ Show Spoiler [A few words about Kal] +
Kim Ku Hyun, Goojilla, the Red Shuttle, with a silver medal from the GOMTV MSL Season 4 is not a new face on the scene by any means. If I might, I shamelessly recommend my own earlier fan-article, The Many Faces of Kal if you want to know more about his earlier career and person.
Kal has been declared the hope of protoss (alongside free) by many in the last few months, as these two have been the most consistent in their results after the fall of the other 4 dragons. Last season Kal made it to the semifinals of the NATE 2009 MSL, only to be walked over 3-0 by Jaedong, a zerg always above Effort's caliber. Since then, Kal has only improved his performance, making it to the semis of the OSL this time, and carrying STX on his back in the Proleague (with a 3-0 ace-game record so far only bested by Jaedong this season).
Kal's only been held back by his PvZ lately, a matchup in which he once boasted a 70% winrate for over two years. Effort's ZvP is as close to the ultimate challenge in the matchup as you can get (besides Jaedong - a challenge he has failed several times before), and Kal will need to rediscover his such skills if he wants to make it to the finals to face his friend Flash -
- many say he might be the only one with a chance to put up a fight against the terranbonjwa-to-be monster.

I hope and predict Kal to pull through, but it's not going to be easy, I can easily see this going 3-2 either way. Hopefully an epic series regardless.
