Now, if JD wins, this title is going to be tainted. Flash was 2 base against 4 with superior tech in game 2. It took him a while when he couldn't destroy the base as well. Flash was about to expand in this game - if he pulled off his attack, it would be 3 bases to 3, with JD having no army and not enough gas to support ultra/ling, and no lurker aspect.

i agree. flash forced JD to spend all his units/resources on the 7 oclock. flash needed but one drop on the 3 oclock to force a scenario of 3base terran vs 3 base zerg... a scenario that is strongly advantageous for terran. i really think the Kespa judges made their decision based on leftover resources... which makes no sense since zerg should always be ahead in that aspect.

but whatever. flash is now the underdog, a role he hasnt had the chance to have in almost forever. he's in an advantageous scenario in terms of pressure: if he loses, it's not his fault; if he wins, he's even more awesome. can anyone recall another scenario in the last two years where flash was not the favorite? i suspect flash responds with 2-0 the next two games and gets his first MSL championship

I'm rooting for Jaedong, but if Flash comes back to win the MSL after this, he will have my eternal respect.

JD was clearly ahead in that game no doubt about it, Flash lost a lot of vessels and was mined out in his main, and/or almost in his nat, which would lead him to having 1 base.
JD was on 3 gas with full tech and upgrades, Flash just lost pretty much all his units while trying to break 7 o clock, while JD had forces incoming with 2 defilers, the game would've ended in about 5 minutes from that moment.

JD deserved the win, but still - it's not fun to get a win like this.

I wouldn't be happy, why should he? None of this was Jaedong's fault.

thats just so weak and bad.. if this call stands msl is a big joke.. and no matter who wins.. this event is ruined..

ITS LIKE MAKING A MISTAKE ( the game crashing ) and then again MAKING ONE AND NOOT REMATCHING WTF

I don't think you can tell, just from the fight @ 7 if JD was far enough ahead to take the win. The judges on the other hand, had all the information, in terms of worker count, supply count, tech upgrades, resources, # of bases which allow them to make a much better call than any of us.

what if we all stop discussing that 3rd match until Flash's interview?
he is the only one who can say if he was ahead or not... to his fanboys lol

Part of the inhumanity of the computer is that, once it is competently programmed and working smoothly, it is completely honest.

I'm with the people saying Flash is never out of a game. Both the first 2 games had large swings where the other player appeared to have a lead... then lost it. Jaedong was ahead, but he wasn't so far ahead that Flash was somehow all ready on the gallows.

One min only in the middle of the map, main and nat mined out, and with such perfect macro before that he wouldn't have anything saved up, with Flash's entire MnM force crushed right before the power cut, with defilers defending the base. First, JD wouldn't have lost the bottom left. Second, a Z with 2 bases with a third coming > T with one min only IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP how do you defend that?

Defend it the way you normally defend that type of thing. Don't mistake my post as those crazy enough to suggest Flash was ahead. He wasn't and Jaedong most definitely was in much better position. However, Flash still had some science vessles (unless more were scourged off screen), some reinforcements coming (albeit not enough to actually take 7), and for Jaedong to win he was still going to have to use those defilers and push into flash. Flash's attack might've been pushed back further away from JD's base, but it wasn't knocking on flash's natural.

And, others have stated... It's Flash. That's not fanboyism or a delusion; just a fact.

How do you normally defend against fully upgraded ultraling with defilers?

In fact, normally you don't. That's the point where Terran generally starts losing to the Zerg. However, 1 min only in the middle of the map vs 4 base Z with potential of 5 gas?

I honestly think it should have been a rematch. After the decision was announced, Flash looked absolutely devastated, and the look on Jaedong's face wasn't exactly a happy one. These leads me to believe that they just looked at the game, without really asking the players what they thought. I could be wrong, but I'd like to believe Jaedong would agree to a rematch, if they had asked him.

So I don't support Kespa's decision, and I think it will be a black spot on this final, should Jaedong win, however, looking at the game, I think it was pretty clear Jaedong was ahead. It was Jaedong's 4 mining bases, though one was under heavy fire, and may have been lost. We'll never know what would have happened if Flash's attacks had continued, but it looked like Jaedong was going to hold it off. To Flash's 1 mining base, with his second CC floating over to the expansion. It might have been down already, but not mining all the way, I'm not sure. But even then, it was still 2v4 bases, with Jaedong holding off the attack.

I wouldn't put it past Flash to have come back from the game, but he was in a very tight spot. And if this were any other event, than a fucking final, I would agree siding with Jaedong. However, it's a fucking final, rematch, plz.

Guy's the point is Flash didn't GG, he didn't lose the game until he typed GG. It doesn't matter if KeSpa thinks Jaedong was ahead. Oh well Flash will win the next two games.

+ its not flash fault
punishing him for something he is not responsible for is NON SENSE

I would only give jd the win if he was SO FAR ahead that flash could possibly not win anymore

THAT WAS DEFINITELY ( !!! ) NOT THE CASE..

Anyone who says Flash wasn't behind is blind; anyone who says JD would win 100% is a liar.

Put yourself in Jaedong's seat now. How would you like a rematch after a huge comeback like that ? MBC made the correct decision here. Flash knows he lost too.

At this point it doesn't even matter if JD was in the lead or not. The fact is that the title has been tainted, and if JD wins it it'll never be considered a real victory.

Even though they gave JD the win in set 3, they've actually made it so that the only player who can actually win a title is Flash.
