Tis aight, there's always next couple OSL/MSLs. I'm really hoping he gets back in shape. We've seen what Yarnc is capable of, but I've always believed that Lux > Yarnc. The guy back in the days had some incredible ZvT and ZvZ. With his improved ZvP he was able to snatch a MSL, but just lost it somehow. Hopefully watching his bro tear it up lately has somewhat inspired him to go improve his game some more.

Calm is a lock, but I don't think Stork is a heavy favorite. Then again, I always seem to underrate him. The guy pops up in most every tournament to eliminate a few players more exciting than him...maybe it's Up's turn to lose.

Calm vs Luxury is more of a toss-up, especially seeing how its mirror ZvZ, than Stork vs Upmagic. I assure you, Upmagic's TvP is decent but nowhere good enough to touch Stork's godly PvT

Calm and Stork easy.
Calm's match is definitely not a toss up imo as he has beat JD and Effort both in a Bo5 ZvZ series recently and has a lot of momentum and Luxury has been sucking for a while. He also hasn't really played in like forever since he got out of the MSL so yea definitely Calm.

Game One - Lux overwhelms Calm with a 2nd hatch in his main and higher muta count/scourge micro. Thoug Calm's spire seemed earlier, he opted for expanding and was caught with lower muta count as his expo was being raided.

Anyone notice how Clams lings just seemed to evaporate? Then Lux has Lings to absorb Muta glaves. Not to mention, he had enough confidince in his micro not to make but 2 or 4 scourge, and just destroyed about 12 of Clams.

Calm: 9pool, Lux: Overpool. Luxury got the second hatchery out mad faster, but calm could've turned it around by expanding had luxury not used the earlier larva to mass mutas and take him out. If that push had failed it could've been anyone's game.

Clam overgassed and Lux 12gassed.
Clam also made a few too many lings early which delayed second hat.

Um calm wouldve lost his nat hatch without the scourge sniping. The scourge sniping just made t he game a lot shorter. Calm was fucked with or without lux sniping the scourge.

What are you talking about?
Calms build was fine...he didnt execute properly. Calm's spire timing was the exact same as lux's. Calm needed to pull his lings back instead of losing them and then micro a lot better than he did in the scourge/muta fights.

Calm is great when he prepares for his opponents, but Luxury totally outclassed him those two games.

The other MSL semifinal hasn't even been played yet, and for his last match he said he practiced hard for ZvZ with Jaedong. No excuse for Calm really.

Yeah I would think they should force the players to play on the maps that will be used during the actual WCG so the players who are best at whatever maps are used at WCG advance. Though Korea doesn't care too much who wins WCG they do care that a Korean must win first place.

Upmagic would've had that if he simply did a 3 base allin timing attack. He had such a huge econ advantage over Stork.
That Flash mass expo strategy is tempting but it's a horrible choice because entering lategame without a decisive advantage is basically autoloss for T.
