Most players used too other ds maps having hard time learning this cause of its complexity compared to other ds maps. theres alot of info in the link i gave up earlier also all the language in the map is in english so make sure to read all the messages than youll learn faster. Theres an info center in the map giving new to mediate players infos about all the building spawn and all the special stuff which is in the map. | ||

I definately know some good players not having sponsorship just playing the "default game" for fun or ranks, Alot of good chess players dont earn money on playing aswell, that dosent mean chess or the players are not good. Its only very few SC BW players whos actually earning money on playing. its the interest from the mass of players that makes it possible to earn money on playing this. I differenciate between noobs and pros this way Pros knows the game, the unit counters, to control units in micro and macro, to have a decent apm. Noobs are newcomers to me they learning all these things bit by bit some players never learn all this. With that said you can imagine id say theres alot of pros in this game where you would say theres only very few if you need to earn money on this to be pro. Sorry for the unclear explaination of pros and desert strike classic pros. I dont know any players who earn money on playing sc bw playing this Desert strike | ||

Just saying... this map first version was released 2 years ago, so you cant have been a pro at desert strike classic for 10 years.. Theres other desert strike map maybe youve been pro at those.. but those is very monotopic doin same build order over and over for the same end spawn.. this desert strike classic is far better balanced if you have been pro at other ds theres a small chance that you can learn to be pro at this desert strike too but this as i said is far more complex than other ds. Hard to call your self a desert strike pro if you dont know all desert strike maps Desert strike classic is the most played desert strike past half year or more (on us west server)so if your collages donno it they cant really call them selves desert strike pros Id call my self a desert strike pro cause i know all desert strike maps and im very good at the most played ones. | ||

We will give it a try though on one of our daily training sessions and give you a feedback. Please don't call yourself pro though, since your west scene has really nothing in terms of ds competition to our europe scene. I doubt I have even seen any of you on yearly DS Online Championships, mostly korean and european players have been qualified for it. | ||

In my ds its different cause balance and strategy takes more skill of your play to determine the winner meaning all races can win another race if play good enough. By the way, if you are calling your version "Classic" but it is 2 years old and is apparently much different than the older versions, how can you say it is "Classic" when the older versions are true Classics? Shouldn't you call it "Advanced" or "Improved" or "Modern" or something? It seems a bit confusing considering there is already DS Classic and radley is the best player on it... Even if you ask for some references from his collages, I don't think that they will be able to say much to support you even though a picture says a thousand words and a thousand pictures should say even more. | ||

How much did he win in hes championships? maybe hes up for a challenge vs me cause most players today consider me to be one of the worlds best if not the world best Ds player. I called my DS "desert strike classic2020" cause it was released in 2020 based on the most classic ds i played ds queen final/beta realeased more than 15 years ago.. this ds was the first to be popular and my ds ds is based on that with alot of fixes, extras and improvements in balance, several game modes and more. Thats why i called my ds for ds classic2020.. im sure you could say any old ds is a classic i have made my first ds 12 years ago some would say thats the ds classic they know. but the truth is no other ds is called classic.. im wondering why he wont come up with the name on the ds hes three times world champ in.. What im saying is that not all ds is competetative enough to be played in a championship and i can prove it in battle ill surely be up for a battle against him tho if hes up for the challenge, he could buy an entri ticket to the grandmaster tournament im setting up if he believes hes good enough to win the prize | ||

The best DS player will be found in this Tournament.. so when Radley calls him self a DS pro, he should join this tournament, too show off hes skills edit: Ive now searched the web for the DS manual version radley was speaking off.. only map i found was desert strike vqueen manual ftw.. and this map cant be played 1v1 its alot like builder and fighter so all this post trollin on me is garbage. My new DS can also be played like builder and fighter in case you want such fights pretty apm heavy on the fighter side but also puts some demands on the builders side. Just to clarify for those who got confused over all that weird posting about a secret DS its now been revealed | ||

Version control is a problem, as this thread illustrates. Honestly it’s pretty cool that someone is dedicated enough to create/update UMS maps and put some pocket money on the line to encourage people to try it out and play to win. I’m not really there for all the obscure, technical trash talking, but some well-organized UMS play at a competitive level could be lots of fun for viewers. Edit: Funny story. I once made a version of Evolves (called Djevolves, and yes it’s the greatest thing.) My buddy and I played all the time. Obviously we mostly won, since we knew the ins and outs, but it was a fair map. My buddy created a Wikipedia article on Evolves (which no longer exists) and wrote that “two notable Evolves players are [my buddy] and Djabanete.” He didn’t mention that we mainly played my version. Anyway, a week later the leader of an Evolves clan messages me and throws down the gauntlet. I got wrecked, but we ended up becoming friends, and I learned some tricks in regular Evolves from him. :D | ||

Older DS map was very limited with different bugs cannot create more units or unit unplaceable which aint really good when the point in the map is to add more and more units.. another thing about older DS was that they where known to be played without much speed skill some said they could play ds while they eat or with one hand. The balance in older DS maps also known to be issued. Evolves maps is somewhat similar like fighting with a masser reaching same limit obstacles as ds maps have reached. Im not sure but when i played evolves i feelt like there was some levels just alot better than others-- these levels you needed to stack up units-- and such is what i dont see as fully balanced.. like such moves dosent have counters. that said evolves is still a fun map to play and you also need skill to win evolves maps (i remember reaching map max at level 1 cause no one wanted to make the first attack) Btw @djabanete sounds like you had a great time playing which is the best point of the maps melee or whatever other maps But today with this DS Classic2021 the skillsets speeds have increased alot(like alot compared to other ds maps). the balance perfected(all race can actually win) and the map max bugs have been eliminated(cannot create more units or units unplaceable) some players like to talk bad about stuff they dont know and have knowledge off we all different its a free world. | ||
