The part of the post that I found useful is the part about how to stop bunker rushes (replaced with "..." in my quote because it's super long). "12 hatch always" there meant "don't not 12 hatch because you are afraid of bunker rushes" - how to avoid being predictable in your choice of build order is another topic entirely

14cc = 3 hatch before pool if you scout it in time.

bunker rushes are honestly easy to deal with, as are cannon rushes. i always send me second overlord to my natural expo so i can scout for those. 4 drones usually does the trick and just zone the marine while getting lings up then countering.

I think we can agree that defending different types of early bunkers in your nat is not something necessarily easy. It all depends on the terran.

Scouting is only half the battle. Cannon rushes are pretty easy to scout, but if you have no clue how to defend against them you will die every time.

Just gotta know how to push multiple drones through mineral patches. If you don't know how to do it, you will die every time unless the protoss doesn't know how to do it properly (e.g not leaving a space to put down a 3rd pylon immediately after one gets destroyed). If you know how to do it, its pretty easy to defend.

Assuming he puts the cannons behind the minerals this is true. However you don't mention how to do it for new people. Although there are several different methods to move drones across a mineral line, this is the one I find easiest.

Select a couple of drones and right click them on a mineral patch. Then shift-click one drone away from the group you are selecting and spam click on the other side of the minerals.

i 9 drone scout after overlord. you can scout it sometimse. but if not, just go overpool instead

Bakuryu always 12 hatches


I played him in a TvZ and he didn't 12 hatch. It was a two player map and he didn't want to get his hatchery blocked by an SCV.
