Thanks man; you seem to know everything! Sorry to be a bother again...but do you happen to know how progamers split their mutalisks in all directions so quickly (for instance, to avoid corsair fire)?

I've tried to do it manually but it's way too slow. I have actually split them by accident before, but I was unable to discern what the hell I did since it happens so quickly.

Thanks again for helping everybody out.

Shift deselect a muta, click on the minimap to move that group, shift deselect a muta, click on the minimap at a different direction to move that group, and if you did it right then the deselected muta should be split off. It's called cloning.

Wouldn't it be faster and as good to click "move" on the main screen instead of doing it on the minimap??

no because if you do it on the main screen they will fly away and stop 2 seconds later, you want your mutas to escape, if you click away on the main screen they are going to get caught because of the distance (hence you use the minimap, because then you can order your mutas to fly farther away)

also, what program is it that can count your apm and timer clock and stuff?

Ah so there's no "trick" to splitting mutas at all. The "manual" way I mentioned was the "cloning" method mentioned before. Of course I know what cloning is!

Oddly, when microing my mutas in the past, I have caused them to split perfectly and simultaneously while they were stacked. This usually happens when I cause them to change direction abruptly, but while I've done this several times, I've never been able to replicate it. That's why I thought there was some micro shortcut to doing this, especially since progamers seem to split them simultaneously. Guess they're just ridiculously fast clickers.

Because they have cannons near their nexus, and they probably double pressed the hotkey for their nexus so it's in the center of the screen.

Yeah I was thinking that it would be easy to quickly locate them by using the F-keys. But then again, the corsairs are hotkeyed anyway and the Starport is also covered by canon(s) so it seems unnecessary to rally them to the nexus. Its just that it shouldn’t really matter where you put them as long as they are covered by cannons and yet progamers almost always put them over the nexus which led me to believe that there is something beneficial about it.

It's because they will have cannons there and it's the best place to sit to try and stop the mutas picking off your probes.

I have a question:

In 2v2, can my ally Terran's medics heal my unit's health? Even if I am Protoss or Zerg?
It does not seem to work with an AI Terran as my ally.

Medics can heal any biological unit, so yes they can heal all Zerg ground units and Protoss Zealots, DTs and HTs.

9pool can be held without great difficulty on La Mancha.

It is usually rallied over to the main nexus instead of the natural. This is because your natural will already have cannon cover against muta raids. And if he kinda delayed his 4th 5th hatch and get nat gas before 4th, then his mutas will arrive probably when your cannons are warping. So you will need the corsairs to hold off the mutas until your cannons are done. And probably also to prevent scourge from sniping newly made corsairs.

If you go mech, then it can be delayed until you get your third gas. If you go bio, then it is as soon as you can. Some variations get a very fast vessel when 3 hatch muta pops. The more standard timing will be start the tech after your second rax is done and add on 3rd and 4th rax after factory starts. So you will have a vessel just in time for you to attack and threaten him pre-defiler timing.

I always do after stim and range, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I'm curious if the pros do or not.

For maps where 14cc (or 13cc, as I always do) can hold off 9 pool, the bottom left base on Fighting Spirit is pretty good. You can create a ling tight wall-in at your natural. I love large maps where you can do this. For example, Odd-eye and certain positions on Eye of the Storm.

I don't believe so, it's not worth it since you should generally be using the energy before it gathers up to 200 anyway.
