Also what are they better against, T or P? protoss have a small chance to be surprised by it and not be ready for it (hope they don't have high templars or a stargate), then you can do some damage, provided they are never able to see the hive or spire coming and don't ever get high templar or a stargate. and terran should be in a much better situation. Any good replays of this strat? i have a 2v2 where my partner gets guardians and kills some guy. it's probably the best you'll find. | ||

Many of Yellow's zvt on WGT and WSL were guard rush; it works very well in most cases. Terran just aren't used to handling it. | ||

Ok here is actual ansvers on these questions. 1. Basic build is one that gives you enough defence against the first wave of m&m+tank, and still enough gas to make guards. 2. Preferably close to your target since guards are slow as hell, and somewhere they wont be killed while morphing. 3. Speed lord for detecting wraith. 4. After irrad but before mass vessel. 5. Good against both. 6. Tons of Yellow reps from wgt5. | ||
