DT rush destroys it 2 gate goon destroys it. 12 nexus destroys it
It's still viable either way yes. Usually I thought you ended up getting siege mode eventually but I could be wrong. You should build some marines though as well and just cut down on the numbers of scvs brought a little bit I think..?
Not positive on this advice.

I remember a similar thread awhile ago, and the general consensus was it wasn't viable against DTs or reavers, but was otherwise decent.

heartbreak ridge game 4 gate??
|
I just played vs DT and i got destroyed
|
if you add marines its similar to a strong fd, i imagine.
you really should have lost the second game (that was the only one i watched, i admit) and should have transitioned into vultures.
i can see that this could be destroyed by decent micro

cute build but it's auto lose vs a decent opponent and quite a few different build orders

u really need vultures to kill toss tanks just to get goons dead

Try doing a Joyo a few times... you'll probably have the same success at lower levels if you can control it and choose the right maps to do it when not cross positioned.
2 fact tank is basically an all in heh

Personally I don't see how this build would get pwned harder by Dts than a regular FD
|
lol?
Regular FD has mines which counter the DT. This build isnt even close to mines at all.
See the difference?

Personally, I don't see why you'd skip on Vultures. Mines are so damaging pre-Observer (especially at the D-level where the opponent is much more likely to mismicro against them).

who cares about how effective it is against the same old boring standard builds. Its about creativity and innovation, hes not gonna win a starleague with this, but this seems like a fun strategy for D players and with friends.

How can it be "similar to a Strong FD"? A strong FD only has 1 factory, and is still focused on getting your expand up...
Also, what the hell is 4 gate?
|
Agh, I lost to this build just last week, I went 1 gate expo >.<
There was nothing that I could do, but it is very cheesy(obviously) and like other cheeses, I wouldn't expect this to get you higher than C-. Definitely don't play the same person twice.
Also, what the hell is 4 gate? It is a pretty all-in build for protoss in which he makes 4 gateways and then pure dragoons. There is no money to tech or expo because everything has to be spent on goons and pylons :/
|
How the fuck did u beat a protoss that went 4 gate?
That must be the worst protoss player...
No offense or anything but a '4 gate' build, although an awful build, should still roll any 2 fac attempts

2fact with 3tank, 7-8 marine, couple scv and mine researching with vulture rally once tanks moved out ispretty gay, pretty strong, pretty hopeless vs DTs or reaver in good hands. Rolls 1gate nexus, 12nexus, micro dependant vs 2gate nexus.
