by the time t has xpod with mech, you should have atleast 5-6 hatches flowing ling hydra with a few lurks, and DO NOT let them use drops. Mech drops are fucking impossible to stop | ||

24+4 24+6 Mutalis +1 armor is 0+1 0+2 0+3 Goliath does xplosive dmg per upgrade, to -2 per armor muta. Mutalis can -6 and 50% of goliath dmg. Which is 12-6 (full armored muta to no upged goliath) A goliath can dish out a max of 15 dmg to a Non upgraded Muta. (Few progamers upgrade armor only for their mutas to cut the explosive dmg -->ChoJJa and [NC]...YellOw) Muta is 120hp Goliath is 125. If they both are even in upgrades, or max. The goliath is the better unit. Due to range, and cooling time. So, overall I think an upgraded goliath owns Zerg Air. EDIT: I think a key to making them work, is paying attention to their upgrades. | ||

Ok, so basically what you do is get 2 or 3 hat +1 armor muta from your exp and your main, perhaps building 1 sunken at each if they decided to vulture raid. Just keep on massing muta, and you should be able to own any pure goliath strat. Don't get a lot of drones, like 12 per base mining minerals max, and when they expand you take another main/natural. Build 3 sunkens or so at the natural, and it is most important that you are mining as at each. Never directly confront the tank/gol force directly; if they run out of their base to attack, try to force them back in by attacking their main with your mass mutas(which should work unless they have like 10 turrets at each base). You should build a few scourge if they are getting valks, and wait until the terran gets to one of your bases or you get to 200/200 to attack. Then you should continue to take islands(which the terran won't be able to stop), and probably make some defiler and ground units or something(my games vs mech don't really last this long). The only problem with mass muta is valk, so once they get 5 or so, you should have 4 bases to their 2, and continue expanding, and you should just win with an econ advantage. The key is not building ground units early, because they pretty much get owned by mech unless you outresource them by a huge amount. | ||
