Welcome to the third in the 안녕하세요: Messages from the Korean Progamers series. Thank you once more for all the translations done by a very tired and wonderful Konadora tonight. Next up is SKTelecom T1 - today Coach Mumyung kindly helped to provide messages from all the T1 favourites.
This time we requested a specific theme;
'How do you want global Esports to develop in the future?' (this was the basic gist of the question translated badly by myself at the scene after Proleague today.)
(Apologies for the two separate posts so close together, but I want to group this by team so it's all very organized for when I come to add to it.)
(Edit: StarCraft not Esports - sorry, we're tired!!)
BeSt:
Please look out for our next series of messages coming soon - along with some surveys and other fun snippets from the Korean pro-players. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this project get off the ground so smoothly.
[Edit]
I'm considering offering a prize for whoever can translate this one from Canata:
Thank you to Sky_slasher, Wala.Revolution, fw and infinity21 for their help in deciphering Canata's scrawl. Also big thanks to PH for translating so Canata provided a more interesting message regarding his hobbies/likes.
Canata:
Bonus:
Here's the man himself signing the book and making his message;

Yeah, I was wondering about that. On the card, he says "...interest in not just e-sports, but other events as well." It would make more sense as "...interest in not just Starcraft, but other events as well."

Both Kona and myself are very, *very* tired right now - I covered four events this weekend and just got back from doing Burger King Tetris League after 10 hours at OGN and Kona has done some epic-long translations over the last couple of days so there may be small inconsistencies in grammar/translation and editing. We're sorry, but we are doing our best -_-;;;;;;; I've been editing photos for over 3 hours now and I'm only just finished.

Once against HUGE thanks for getting this project rolling and not stopping after one or two teams... <333
Apparently according to Kona Canata's is illegible. His message will hopefully be translated soon, but it really is kind of squiggly and cute looking.
Sorry, my bad, I thought Bisu wrote e-sports instead, since the rest of the SKT1 were. Was doing it in a bit of a rush, having a C++ test tomorrow >___>
And 'overseas' as in 'foreign' countries, don't take it too literally =.=

Lol thanks n_n I hope you upload the handwriting of that as well. Thanks once again!
People need to not take things word for word especially if they are not familiar with expressions, although I think slayersboxer was kidding and it was a pretty decent reference lol.
Translators need not mind these people and keep using familiarity techniques like English expressions, it makes the translation less rigid/mechanical and more natural. Props to Kona.

I had a hard time finding different words with same meanings to use, since most players speak similar stuff :<

It's all good man I think you did a great job <3 Keep it up!
awesome kona and nevergg. Thanks for the translations and the pictures...it makes the players seem much more human, and reminds us that they're only humans (with really fast hands, and people who admire them from around the world).
As a professional gamer, I am elated to see foreigners contantly coming to the the stadium(during today's match); it show that e-sports is becoming more popular.
My favourite group (singer) is SNSD from the SM group.
"A lot of non-Koreans visit the e-sports stadium, and the sense that the reputation of e-sports is rising makes me feel good as someone in e-sports. I like the Korean girl band Soneyon Shidae ("the age of girls"). In terms of food, I like everything except cucumber. I wish that e-sports keeps developing."

I like cucumber and [Korean] pears, but I like everything ^^
I wish that e-sports would grow more!
i like everything except cucumber. (i read it as 빼고, not 배고)
all of their handwritings look like they never used a pen and paper since 10 years old. that's not even funny at all.
Thank you so much Wala.Revolution and sky_slasher (and fw for the revision.) I'll make the card today once I get home. Thank you to PH for translating at the scene so Canata told us his favourite band and food I hate cucumber too XD Good on Canata for giving us such a cute message. I asked him for funny and cute - he always delivers.
lol it was so bad that I wanted to try it as a challenge
요즘 경기장에 외국 분들도 자꾸 많이 와주셔서 e스포츠의 위상이 날로 높아지는거 같아서 같은 분야에 몸 담고 있는 사람으로서 기분이 좋아요 제가 좋아하는 가수는 SM 소속의 소녀시대에요 좋아하는 음식은 오이 빼고 거의다 좋아해요. ^^ e스포츠가 앞으로 더 발전했으면 좋겟어요 ^^
Lately, a lot of foreigners have been coming to the stadium so it seems that the prestige of e-Sports is increasing daily so I feel good as a person who is in the field of e-Sports My favourite singer is SM's Girls Generation My favourite food is almost everything other than cucumber ^^ It would be good if e-Sports grows more in the future ^^

LOL. i was thinking that too but isnt it kind of?
"foreign" is translated into 외국(外國)" (literally "outside the country") or 해외(海外) (over the sea) conversely 외국 and 해외 is translated into foreign or oversea interchangeably.
I believe it's related to not only geographical but also political environment of korea. korea is surrounded on 3 sides by sea and there is a large river and china in the north. a route to the north by land hasn't been at liberty and in korean's mind, foreign is over-the-sea virtually.
