I'm glad they did it. 2v2 in bw is way unbalanced, gets boring and repetitive really fast. 1v1 is the way to go, they just need to keep refreshing the maps to keep it interesting. Hope 2v2 is more balanced and fun in sc2 so we're not stuck with 1v1 for competitive games..

new maps every PL season and we'd still have the boringness problem. After 3 weeks the matches went stale overall

Ok, maybe 2v2 has gone to boring. I myself stopped watching 2v2 unless it involves players I like a lot, and sometimes not even then. However I think that 7 1v1's is a terrible idea.

Here is the thing. People are thinking that with 7 1v1's we are going to see TvZ like Hwasin vs Jaedong, TvP Flash vs Best, PvZ Bisu vs July... Well, guess what? No. We will have around 4 mirror matches every time, and being game 2 and 3 where coaches will let their worst players play, you'll get two terribly boring turtling terran noobs playin 1 hour TvT, and some noobish mu that you'll regret ever watching.

If they are going to remove 2v2, at least they should come with something that it's NOT 1v1, and that can replace 2v2 with the same weight in the final outcome. Team melee anyone? And if they are too lazy to use their creativity, well, then just leave it at 5 1v1's.

that would suck I enjoy 2v2.... u watch ur 1v1 then get one 2v2 spices things up....

the only problem with 2v2 is the maps... just gotta make the maps a little intresting like Iron curtain...

I dont think it would be a good idea... B0 7 would be boring in my opinion... same 1v1's, more no name players vs no name players... less chance of Ace Match, less chance of a 2 big names facing each other...

Bo7 will take FOREVER. Imagine if you get Stork v GGplay happening once or twice a match. It'd take like 4-6 hours easy. Bo7 will probably equate to more cheesing to try and get quick wins.

let me just point out that its not a 'lack of creativity', rather that the other game modes are fucking stupid
