Proleague planning two huge changes on next season.

-Next proleague season, 2v2 matches will be completely cancelled.
-we will see BO7 instead of BO5... (seven 1v1 matches)

KESPA, teams and other associations are still arguing about this topic, so this is not final decision!

hm, didnt think this would actually happen since kespa seemed to have the say on it and didnt seem willing to budge, but we'll see.

kinda sucks for the teams with strong 2v2 teams, sucks for 2v2 specialists, sucks for teams with relatively weak 1v1 lineups comparatively, good for teams with shitty 2v2, good for the somewhat inexpereinced 1v1 players who will have more playing time.

I'd like to see these changes happen personally. The more 1v1, the better - 2v2 just came down to PZ vs. PZ and got kind of stale imo. Also with more 1v1s, teams have more of a chance to play up and coming players and new talent, which is always fun to watch.

it would make more sense if it was still bo5 and all 1v1, but a 1v1 b07 is just going to get boring.

WTF they can't do this to us!

2v2s are a great break from all the 1v1s being played all the time. I don't see what good could possibly come from removing a great aspect of the game in return for more of the same old 1v1 play that we're all so familiar with. There are more than plenty 1v1 matches as it is, not only in the proleague but also in all of the other tournament such as MSL, OSL, Intel Classic, duel Tournament and so on.

2v2s bring teamwork into the game, an aspect that is obviously missing from the 1v1 game of starcraft, and am I the only the one who thinks it would be weird to have a team league where teamwork isn't important? Let 2v2 stay!
