Not that many people care, but do we know who is the creator of (2) Shin Danjang's Ridge 2.2? Curious because the map creator name is missing. 76 by KD_MAN was submitted to NWMC3  Very cool to see at least one map from the NWMC series approved for ASL during the last few seasons. Congrats KD_MAN! | ||

Apparently the ramp leading to the natural only allows small units to go through (so no Tanks, Dragoons, etc.), making the main a quasi-island. Meanwhile the base in the back is a full island, but workers get access to it during the first minute of the game. It may not be a big problem in TvZ, but Terran for sure will ban this map for TvP lmao. | ||

Recalls can be prevented to the semi island main and the island natural expansion, but carriers seem like a bit of a yikes on this map. They are hallucinated so they only last ~55 seconds I believe. The idea behind the stacked minerals is it allows for players to FE to the island quickly. It will also open the door for really fast timings like an insane 4 pool which shouldn’t be too broken because the ramp is easily walled with one zealot. The map is a submission for nwmc3 as a remake of the classic map 815. | ||

Dropship is the obvious answer but no way mass dropship can compete with mass shuttle. | ||

Terran's will most likely open 2 port wraith TvP on 76, as all gases on the map are either behind island or "semi-island" bases. Not sure how to follow that up, but i think drop ships are the only option. | ||

Big whataboutism, if you look at the maps in the various seasons of BWCL I have been in charge of, you will find such maps as sparkle and others, including a lot of NWMC ones. To say nothing of the old WGT map pools. As for the pro-scene, I liked those maps for the pro league (RIP), players practiced specific sniping builds on those it was great and very entertaining. And I find it cool for KCM and the like as well. But having extremely imbalanced maps when you run into bo1 elimination matches in the group stage of an individual tournament is not the best and this is mostly my issue with such picks. Now 76 may have fixed some of the issues 815 had, and also the meta changed so it might turn out fine, but I d like some sort of pre ASL tournament where we (and the ASL staff too) could see a bunch of the maps in action and then pick from that list. edit: or bo3 for all sets in the group stage, i d be fine with that too and weird maps | ||
