Doesn't make sense to remove those two maps and throw in so many newer/different maps (benzene, optimizer, ringing bloom, shakuras temple and plasma). I'm pretty sure most players would have appreciated having at least three standardish maps (maybe even four). Also, plasma was a complete waste of a map to include in the pool, as it is probably vetoed by many people.

Exchange Plasma for something else, let's say Neo Chain Reaction and go for Neo Sylphid instead of Benzene and I would say it would be a perfectly balanced map pool. I believe that Bli$$ard will just keep on copying the ASL map pool, though.

FS, CB, EC, SniperRidge, Jade, Colo, Aztec, Matchpoint, Tau Cross, Ground Zero, Andromeda... I think, for a beginner, it was good that there were enough more or less "standard" maps (4 player, highground base, normal natural, more or less accessible 3rd), not too finicky or complicated, that you could opt for to grind games on in a stable 'environment'. The size of the pool was/is great, too. I'm not sure about the current Bnet-system of locking people into a handful of maps for the whole season... Also the Map of the Week-feature of Iccup was GREAT, sort of highlighting a handful of maps every week by making you gain more ladder-points if you won on those. I used that all the time to inspire/force me to learn a new map now and then.

Fighting Spirit Circuit Breaker While the maps above are fun to watch I'm not sure how fair they are. That being said we have 3 maps we can mark to get less often. Therefore at least ONE WEIRD / OLD map could be in the map pool at all times without much issue in my opinion.

Say, Eclipse, Overwatch and Monty Hall for 2p, Sylphid, Reap the Storm and Turbine for 3p, and Polypoid, Shakuras and Katrina for 4p. yeah, making the map pool bigger is also a really good idea it will all not be implemented anyways, but maybe it can be done in Shield Battery server or something ![]()
