My first thanks goes to Dawid Pazdzior for hosting the best online events in Brood War. I wish you and your beloved Karolina the best and, of course, "a natural follow up" of your "formal marriage" albeit you will probably be out of the scene for the first year or so.
My second thanks go to Pavel Vasilenko, Ivan Pavlov, Ildar Khayretdinov, Ilia Ruchka, and Leonid Jaller for hosting another fifty Jeez Weeklys, RCG, RPL, 2x2 KotH tournaments. I wish Pavel to resolve yet unresolvable things, Ivan to recover from gamble addiction or at least control risks properly, Ildar to take RCG '21 Finals slot, and to meet Ilia and Leonid during RCG Finals.
Alexander Yera, Loren Hernandez and James Arthur for hosting great team leagues, either "team" is a clan or a country team. I did not have a chance to get acquainted with you personally. For this reason, I'm afraid I cannot wish you the most proper thing. So please keep your family safe.
Bernie Catalan for being a necessary bridge working with Latin America. Your kind words may perhaps cost a little effort but are of great value. Thank you for that.
Eivind Leknes and Michael Jahn for being most mature Western-ideology fund's advisors, keeping those "corrupted Russians" at bay. I wish I could have "cured" Eivind's "morning decease" with a bottle of beer once again, and I would likely try the same method on Michael
Evgeniy Smirnov and Alexander Davydov spending their time altruistically to dig through all these fund's applications. I hope Evgeniy won't switch stream commentary for a workshop as he suggested, and I wish Alexander to manage his time properly to achieve everything he can achieve in 2021.
Hector Rivera for proving that one's efforts along with a hundred bucks may keep a whole country scene alive, even if the country's best ranker is never higher than "A" rank. Keep up your good work, man!
Seongchan Jo for being exactly that kind of Korean-World bridge missing during my gaming time. I will surely see you in 2021.
Mauricio Ticona for being responsible enough to save others' time at cost of his own restriction and probation. Please endure and show your skill after May'21.
Reid Melton for creating a top tier 2020th drama making a pretty decent commentary I must say. I wish you recover.

If I missed one, and you believe you should have been listed, I beg your pardon. This is not my intention to hurt you, it's just my mind failed to recall.

Hell yah! Happy new year and let's keep it rolling in 2021

Thanks, a lot
But I think everyone forgot about person who supported us with resources to continue our projects Mr. Kirill Patyrykin
Thank to the support from Rus_Brain, content creators - like me, could work more freely and develop their ideas. Huge THANK YOU for you sir.
We also should not forget about great production value of RCG like Gmans, beautiful group draws, videos between the breaks etc. As well as Jeez Weekly tournaments and many other things - it's all his hard work, and I'm sure there are many other things I don't know about.
So on this list I would add Mr. Kirill Patyrykin at first spot
Thanks to everyone else as well

Hey all, I made this account specifically to post on this topic. I've been around the starcraft scene for quite awhile but don't usually post.
I have to say I'm quite disappointed in this list however. I'm shocked to see some big names in the scene that were not included. Where is Snipe (Lazersnipe) PiSan? (though I think he's inactive) Awerti? Stromkarlen? LeaSt? THESE are the REAL unsung heros of the StarCraft community. I will say I appreciate everyone that contributes and offers something to the scene.. but I haven't heard of a good number of these people (nothing against them of course!).
Lazersnipe on the other hand is currently the head admin of CPL which is a very large community in the StarCraft scene. They have more members involved than even BSL does (no offense to ZZZero or BSL, I love BSL!) but not even a mention? He barely got a shout out on the pylon show.. In fact they didn't even know his name. How is this even possible..? He has put so much work into CPL.. running it for 4 years, helping and growing the community and expects nothing back. On top of this, He has casted a lot for BSL gosuleague with Masterrey and they're one of my favorite casting duos, they have a lot of good knowledge to share.
SHOUTOUT to all of the people that help with CPL you guys are great and deserve A LOT of THANKS from the community. I love all you guys for the hard work you do, if it wasn't for CPL I probably wouldn't be playing starcraft!!!
Awerti helps everywhere as well. I think it's mostly behind the scenes but he's an admin in both BSL and CPL.. doing a lot of work for them both. Why is he not on this list too?
Stromkarlen - She is another pillar of the community. She's a staff member in CPL helping out Snipe and she also runs rogues gallery which is doing a lot of good work for the foreign broodwar scene. They run multiple showmatches with high level players.. They ran a team league with some of NA's top players.. and yet she gets little to no recognition either?
LeaSt is the admin for RSL. The rookie starleague that caters to the lowest level skill cap of the broodwar community. Offering them a place to get help and play in a bracket style tournament with people their skill level.
I am pretty shocked and disappointed that none of these people got so much as a mention on this. Why are they always forgotten when they play a HUGE role in the starcraft scene? Is it because they don't have prizes or don't cater to the high level community? If it wasn't for these people the low and mid level starcraft community wouldn't be as great as it is, and i'm thankful for it.
Once again a shout out to all you guys and everyone on Rus-Brains list. How did your show match go with Snipe the Admin of CPL go? I can't wait to watch the games :D no spoilers please! oxtQ is pretty new to me but should should get a shoutout as well! As well as one to Rus-Brain himself! I appreciate what you all do for the community

Thanks to zzzero and rusbrain

Thank you so much! Thanks to you the best game in the world still lives on and flourishes! Not only that, you've not just helped a computer game, you've extended your helping hand to several real people and have given them invaluable support. I wish you great health, success and victories for you and your team!

Presumably because this is Rus_Brain's thread, where he thanks all the people that he worked with over the year? Feel free to make your own thread where you thank all of the CPL folk. Your idea of "big names in the scene" is completely ridiculous though, there's a reason BSL gets way more viewers than CPL. I know this is going to be hard to hear, but very few people care about casual/bad players, so my personal opinion is that you can take your "shock" and "disappointment" and keep your outcry and negativity to yourself.

This coming from one of the more well known rude/bm players with his own brand of "negativity" and "outcries" who never misses a chance to be discriminatory, it's good to have such positive role models in the scene
Anyway I'm not looking to get into any sort of back and forth here. If you'd notice my post was positive, giving shout outs to everyone on the list, as well as the people I was "shocked or disappointed" to not see on the list, because the people that run CPL, RSL, rogues gallery, and TQ do A LOT of good things for the scene and deserve a mention as well. As for "bad/casual players" rogues gallery works with good players and promotes higher level games and TQ hosts show matches with all skill levels, including some semi-pro koreans. The community needs players of all skill levels even if the low level players often get overlooked they're apart of the broodwar community. We were all noobs at one point and had to start somewhere after all

What happened to Rapid? He got metood?
Edit: Looks like he sent dickpics and hit on strangers. I didn't realise what his real name was, so didn't know people were talking about him.

Sure you have a point, but your post is out of place. This is a personal thread created by the biggest supporter of the BW foreign scene, he can mention whoever he wants to mention, it's just an open letter to the community, no need to barge in and create drama for no reason.

Thank you very much for the kind words Kirill. Your support to us has been unvaluable and thank you for helping the BW community in Costa Rica grow and be alive again. We're a small country and like you said our level is not that high, but we love SC since it's release and we keep loving it now.
I also want to thank you for all the help and support you give to BW worldwide, and to all the people in this amazing community that makes StarCraft great and puts their own time, effort and money to keep this game alive.
Let's keep working for a bigger 2021!

A nuke is way over the top, I did not feel offended, even though Kirill's post is partially adressed towards me. Guys chill, the dude has a point, CPL things are awesome. As a matter of fact, I'd be happy to see a request from those guys towards the fund. The more you know...
However, @Kirill, as for the anti-corruption goes, I just leave this:

always lots of fun to work with the corrupt Russians

Yeah, he didn't say a single word after that and deleted half of his twitter. Such a shame, he was becoming a really good caster so losing a talent stinks.
