I apologize if I missed this, but is there anywhere I can listen to the pack before buying. Couldn't find anything on youtube.

they could of released 2v2 ladder literally day one without putting any real effort in, just the basic code so that lobby 2v2 games would transmit data and record it for the ladder. Thats it. They could of entirely focused on 1v1 in terms of networking, told everyone 2v2 would be sketchy as shit and they'd get to it-- hell the existing changes they made to networking are already probably more than sufficient for lobby 2v2. So where the fuck is it? They need to wait two years and create micro transactions so they can do basic effortless shit? Maybe these transactions are necessary for blizzard to do basic work they promised two years ago, but thats a pretty damning indictment of the company.

That's not true. They offered an unstable product at release and the backlash was ridiculous. They've done an incredibly good job getting the game to the point it's at, it's a small team and they've even shown they're working on it now. 2v2 is a big deal for the game, they need to get it right or it's going to cause more problems long term for us all.

No Product. Please show me those MATCHMAKING (Not handpicked) 2v2 amateur ladders
But the very thing you and I are discussing was the possibility of lobby 2v2, yes? So....not matchmaking? try to follow the conversations your in bud.

Yeah the lag was bad and the match maker sucked and they were rightfully raked for it, how that means the community would prefer no 2v2 to a lobby 2v2 I dont understand.

Kamstars sole purpose seems to be to diss the idea of the team ladder.6 posts, all in this thread, all diss.
Joined May 4th 2019.Is he an alt account?

You even quoted the "its a variation".

War3 uses a variation of Starcraft peer to peer model not a client server model.AOE3 also had team matchmaking on a peer to peer model.

People don’t realise that many players left the game because of no team match. The player pool for team and 1v1 doesn’t fully overlap. So introducing team match increases player pool it doesn’t spread players thinner.

Can't wrap my head around why lobby for 2v2 is a downgrade from 2v2 only through lobbies before SCR.
Is it about the letter next to your nickname?

Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson I & II

Disclaimer: Updated due to the many requests to get rid of text and keep things super e$por7 BuzinesS.

      The System

The Qualification consists of two subsystems:

  • Qualification Tournament I & II: Knock Out Tournament, Winner hold Qualification Spot
  • Challenge System: Each winner can be challenged a total of two times, challenger has to 'bid' for the challenge spot.

Whoever survives the system gets a flight, a visum and travel costs for the main event in Russia.

      Rules

The standard rules of the overall tournament apply.

Additional Rules:

  1. Right of Admission (I): The administration reserves the right to change and/or alter existing rules, as well as denying access to the qualifiers without further explanation.
  2. Right of Admission (II): The administration will not accept the entry of any known hacker or cheater, regardless of when he/she/it was caught breaking the rules. The same logic is applied to known abusers and trolls.
  3. Discord: The use of discord is mandatory. Admins should be contact primarily through this mean of communication.
  4. NO SMURFING IN THE QUALIFIERS!

For the sake of transparency, the rules are explained if you want to know the reasoning and deeper meaning.

+ Show Spoiler [footnotes] +

  1. Right of Admission (I): If you constantly try to bend the rules by nitpicking constantly and/or troll players/administrators in an overboarding(!) way, you will divert attention from the ongoing event. You will then be able to see the event unfolding without you being part of it. For some things I'm just too old, arguing with angry 12 year olds is one of them.
  2. Right of Admission (II): Hackers suck.
  3. Discord: Battle.net can not be trusted and Discord is easier to manage in terms of keeping an eye on things. Doesn't mean no admin will be present on the play days.

      Challenges

  • To challenge, please contact the admins or post in this topic. You have to start an auction for the challenge spot, minimal entry is $50 (money goes towards the main event prize pool)
  • Winner of the auction can challenge one of the winners of the Qualification Tournaments (Best of Seven)
  • Games have to be played out until 10th August 2019
  • Challenger has to make sure his latency isn't subpar (TR16 or better)
  • Make sure to contact the administration via Discord B E F O R E you make any transaction

+ Show Spoiler [FAQs] +

Can I go on holiays if I won a challenge tournament?

Yes, but please tell us in advance, so we know.

Why this shit system? This sucks!

We have limited resources and admins to host the qualifications. Also, Brain pledged to host an event like this again if we raise 5000$ - this is an attempt to make that happen while also trying to defuse the hard qualification system a bit. Keep in mind you get a free holiday if you hold a qualification spot in a worst case scenario, in a best case scenario you win money and get the flight, visa and everything on top. It seems fair to me.

Who can bid for the Challenge Games?

Literally everyone. The winner can outbid his challenger, any benefactor can sponsor his favourite player and so on and so forth. Important note: only EU (no Poland) players can actually play for the spot.

Prize Pool and Donations

A bigger prize pool helps out a lot. Brain is thinking of hosting another tournament like this next year if we raise 5000$. Please consider giving something if you can afford it. To give you incentives, I put up a list with possible things we can "sell" you for that.

+ Show Spoiler +

  • $5: Submit your custom banner for this topic and we will add it.
  • $5: I will follow you on Instagram or Facebook or Twitter or YouTube (5$ each, I almost have like 30 followers and make you famous).
  • $10: I will send an annoying Telegram to Brain with the meme of your choice.
  • $20: Select the Starting Map for Round 1 (from the map pool)
  • $75: Ban Fighting Spirit and replace it with a balanced map
  • $100 LuLz Donation: You will get a postcard from someone somewhere, if you supply your address. It will also feature a bag full of nothing in it.
  • $100: Rename the Tournament Name from e.g. "Corruption EU Qualifier I" to "[pG]Ceratul is great Czar Tour #1". First come, first serve.
  • $100: Tournament System will be changed from Knock Out to Double Elimination
  • $500: The first Tournament (Qualifier I) will be changed to Swiss System, 4 Rounds, Bo3, potential Tie Breaks Bo3 after the final round. If you are mad enough to donate that kind of money, I'm willing to attempt the impossible.
  • $100 towards the winner: The winner has to use the nick you want in the final tournament. No too demeaning nicks, nothing racist or such.

You can no longer create a lobby and play 2v2? Damn. Do you realize that you could just say: "Looking Rank X opponents 2v2" and your audience would already know what you are looking for?
What are you trying to dispute exactly? First it seemed that it was possible to create a lobby 2v2 ladder, then when i pointed out it obviously and casually was, your position shifts randomly to, what? 2v2 lobby is exactly the same as 2v2 lobby in a ladder? Because any right minded person knows that to be false right out of the gate. So what are you doing exactly outside of hostility and pandering to a company that never delivered? Certainly not arguing from an honest position.
