also always funny when they confirm the progamer stereotype in these interviews^^ makes me wish that they would actually focus more on the technical, game related questions though :D | ||

I would be super grateful to anyone who could elaborate on this point by Rain for me: "I do not like to rule out any build or strategy on the part of my opponent. It is relatively common for us Protoss to gain an economic advantage by leaving ourselves vulnerable to at least one option available to our opponents. [...] I tend to avoid taking any such gambles even if it frequently means that I fall behind a bit in the early part of the game." Like, is he talking about early game? All throughout the game? What kinds of things should I watch for in Rain's games to see examples of this? | ||

As you might be able to guess from his answers here, Rain isn't exactly the talkative type. Flash is kind of the exception. If Flash is kind of like a professor (Hardy), Rain is kind of like a savant (Ramanujan). Most pro gamers are closer to the savant category. People like firebathero, Stork, Iris, Zero are similar to Flash in the sense that they have a very organized bird's eye theory of the game that they can also explain on the spot. Seems weird and it's just an opinion but it's been my experience talking to many of these guys. | ||
