What is your average APM? AND....
Scale from 1-10, 1 being poor and 10 being Amazing, what would you rate your accuracy with your current set up?
Mine is 1600 DPI i dont mess with mouse sensitivity from windows menu, leave it standard.
My APM 270-360 hope to break 400 soon.
Accuracy 4.

This is something I did a ton of tuning with. I'm fairly satisfied right now, but not completely.
My Info APM: 220-280 DPI: 1050 Accuracy: 7 Windows Settings: 6 with Enhanced Pointer Precision OFF

I had a similar set up to that 1050 or 1k on DPI and the precision was amazing. The only thing i disliked about it was that my APM and mouse scrolling felt took a hit. It's an accuracy sacrifice for speed basically. Wish the mouse speed didn't effect the screen scrolling otherwise I would be using the same settings as yours.

APM: 150-180 Screen resolution: 1920*1080 2400 dpi Accuracy: 4 Windows sensitivity 6 and in-game sensitivity at default 50%.
I started out with 1600, but I increased that because scrolling with the mouse was awkward.

Haha yeah that's actually the exact situation I've been struggling with as well. I feel like if I go much higher I lose a ton of accuracy, but not sure how worthwhile it is. I think atm my APM is being slowed more by my brain not thinking fast enough than by my mouse speed, but it's hard to tell for certain.

Question: does screen res change in sc? How do you find out what res youre running?
I ask because when i start sc it starts in a window that is clearly below my default (1080) before going into fullscreen. I figured it was running at a standardized res that was below my default.

apm ; 280-300 dpi: 800, 6/11 windows, acceleration off, mouse scaling off. I recently tried to change to 900 or 1k dpi, but i just couldnt get used to it. playing in 4:3now, was 16 before, felt i was too slow to reach all over the screen. accuracy : 8
dpi 700-1000 was most common for sc2 pros, and those guys all play widescreen,6/11 in windows and no acceleration, and didnt have things like mouse scaling and so on, many of the players who came from 1.16 and now enable mouse scaling are using insane mouse speeds (mouse scaling + relatively high dpi), in the past, people were using logitech mini which had 400 dpi i believe? but if you're accurate with it why not!

So BW is kind of wonky in that I don't really understand what's going on with the resolutions when you play it fullscreen.
I've left my Windows sensitivity at 6/11 for all of the following:
When I first came back to BW around May, prior to RM but after they had added all that stuff like bilinear filtering etc., I was using about 1600 DPI and the ingame sensitivity of 50%. I was letting the game do all the maintenance of aspect ratio and all that. At least I think that's what was happening, all I remember is that I didn't have to do anything with my GPU to play at 4:3.
After a patch at some point in like June, my mouse became very wonky. I changed from the above settings to having my GPU maintain the aspect ratio, which required that I lower my DPI to 700 to get approximately the same feel as I was getting at 1600 DPI before.
Now, in remastered, I don't have to use my GPU settings to maintain the aspect ratio. I do have to increase my DPI to around 2200 to play comfortably, however. I have all the in-game mouse settings turned of; only hardware cursor is checked.
I'd rate my accuracy a 7/10, and I know I would be more accurate at lower DPIs, but it just feels so insanely slow at anything significantly below where I am right now. As others have also said, 16 doesn't feel good, and I play with 4:3. Even then, lower DPIs + scrolling the map feels really awkward. At my current settings, one swing of my wrist takes me from one edge of the screen to the other. I don't like moving my forearm at all when I play, so I try to get a setting where the full left-right range a mouse sweep with wrist only covers the width of the screen.

@Ret & TT1
What resolution do you guys play on? 1920x1080 and Windowed(Fullscreen) ?

1920x1080 + fullscreen (not windowed fullscreen)

hmm , it feels so wierd i read everyone here and im nowhere close of anyones DPI setting , quite interesting I play with HD setting with pillarbox activated , i feel have i significant less amount of screen to cover. i use 5120 dpi on a steelserie sensei. Since i dont have alot of space on my computer desktop to use my whole arm , i use a what i would qualify as a high mouse speed for a RTS player. I feel very comfortable using only my wrist . With one motion , i can go through my whole screen and since i play OSU with that DPI , i feel kindof very accurate , i would say 7/10 7.5/10 accuracy
summary 4:3 HD 5120 DPI Accuracy 7.5/10 APM : 150-170

Mouse : Logitech G203 1600x900 400 DPI Mouse sensitivity activated in game, at 75% speed. windows 6/11 apm 250-320 accuracy: hmm 7-8/10
imo precision > speed with the mouse, mostly because you don't use your mouse to switch screens, which in my opinion is the key to playing fast.

jesus christ 5120 dpi we have a winner
sketchyz do you use in game sensitivity?

No i dont , we could call it * raw sensivity * , i use the same mouse speed to play DOTA , LoL and CS GO tbh the only game i really feel a struggle with this dpi is CS GO , but thats another story totally from here. im pretty confident im accurate on starcraft and that my mouse control is one of my strenght

2560x1440 resolution, 1600 dpi, no acceleration
My accuracy is like 5/10, but I accidentally pressed the DPI button and played on 1000 dpi all day and lost like 200 points, lol so it could be worse

I'm surprised at how low people's DPI is, I always assumed most players had over 2k DPI at least.

Well, here are my settings. First off: I've got a new mouse because my old 10€ cheap mouse was shit for remastered because I couldn't change DPI. On iccup it was quite good though, due to the help of mca launcher with its "mouse plugin". In remastered though, I wasn't able to find a good mouse speed while maintaining my accuracy. So I had sooooo many misclicks, it wasn't that fun anymore. So after talking to a few friends of mine, I decided to buy a new mouse. I ended up buying the Logitech g403 and I think I've finally found a good setup for me (after testing quite a bit). So here we go:
APM: Kinda everything from 180-280 :D (that's at least what the ingame counter says, I always forget to look at the score screen, I'm still not used to APM being displayed there xD) 4:3, Windowed (Fullscreen) Mouse: Logitech g403 Windows mouse settings 7/11 Accelleration ON 3100 DPI for bw (though I use only 1850 for windows itself, still playing with the latter) In game mouse sensivity OFF in game Mouse scaling OFF in game Hardware cursor ON in game mouse scroll 4/7 Rate: 8-9/10 (I'm still not super content but my accuracy has improved a lot since I've got my new mouse, though I still need to get used to it, hence the "8-9")
EDIT: Since I'm still figuring out my settings, I changed a bit: Windows mouse settings 11/11 1850 DPI for both bw and windows In game mouse sensivity ON and 100%
Feels a bit too fast for windows but bw is ok (kinda feels like the previous settings). I tried to change it due to this huge discrepancy between bw and windows.
