Yup. Moral of the story: If you are going to watch the whole series, stay out of this thread.

ok ok I take back what I said, I was drunk last night watching the vods so my bad... It wouldn't make sense to come the reccomended VOD thread if you are planning on watching series in a whole. Last night after watching the stork vs Flash game I wanted to recommend it, however doing so spoiled game 4 of the series.

Erm, just put KTF Magic vs Samsung Khan for the spoilers, and then put the recommended game from that series.
|
Its pretty simple, just put the vod under KTF vs Khan, put the player names under a separate spoiler for names, and then additional comments under an additional spoiler. I've seen many people do it here.
If you do this standard, then it wont spoil the game simply because you refused to put player names in the title since you are doing that most of the time.

Oversky v. Zero.
I know it's a ZvZ, but it's the most intense game I've seen in a long time.

SPL 08-09 HyuN vs Leta 2009-05-20 @ Outsider
+ Show Spoiler [VOD] + + Show Spoiler [Spoiler] +Fantasy has been getting a lot of attention for rewriting the book on TvZ, but Leta has some original ideas of his own about how the matchup should be played. His two port wraith builds are extremely hard to deal with, because they force Zerg to make spores and Hydras, which usually leads to them getting steamrolled by an m+m switch in the midgame. Hyun manages to hold on longer than he should have with a ninja expansion but it doesn't matter in the end. By forcing the Zerg to make uncomfortable tech choices Leta controls the TvZ matchup from start to finish.

Anyway, that kind of ZvZ requires clutch decision making in a split second, insane macro and amazing multitask : you cannot not enjoy it. Especially when it is so tense and back and forth. Great recommandation imo.
+ Show Spoiler [Comment on the winner] +Damn, Sgt. Oversky is sooo good! He has been Ace's best asset for a long time, but it is only showing now he has somme backup. I hope we get to call him Lt. Oversky pretty soon!

Bacchus OSL 2009 Miracle vs hyvaa 2009-05-20 @ Return of the King (nevake, youtube)
this game is very nice (an unheard of strategy!!!) - very entertaining game.... really inventive! seems like starcraft has no strategy limits (even after all these years!!)

Miracle vs Hyvaa + Show Spoiler + Miracle was stupid. He didn't even scout the zerg's base before charging into Hyvaa's base - if he saw the drone count on the nat, he should've been able to see that hyvaa was massing up zerglings... It didn't help that hyvaa went for an aggressive 2 hatch muta attack afterwards. Bad judgment after bad scouting by Miracle, imo. I think Miracle lost it more than Hyvaa winning it, forgetting medics with his force that tried to take out 5 o clock (i think he could've taken it out and brought the game back into his favor if he took it out - mutas were on their way to attack when the rines went in..

Very nice use of unit combinations by the winner to be extremely effective with a relatively small force.

what unheard of strategy... + Show Spoiler +Honestly after reading your comment i was expecting some sortof 1 base play by the terran or some queen build and was really disappointed. Miracle losts more than hyvaa won. I dont see anything revolutionary about adding hydras with guards.

+ Show Spoiler +well, IMHO, it was the Hyvaas transitioning what I found particularly appealing. Miracle was forced to do smt about the Greater spire and the pesky mutas. No way he could hold this with bio and turrets only. Thus he went for cloaked wraiths. Maybe being a Zerg player myself, I know how much pain in the ass it is to fight cloaked wraiths - and its quite clear how popular wraiths are in ZvT nowdays - so I was thinking how is Hyvaa going to handle this as he had "slow" ovies and was pressuring the T. And voila, he comes with devourer(s) to help his mutas and hydras... anyway, I think Hyvaas play was impeccable ... right from the begining...
