You can see SB in both hosting and joining in this VOD. I tried to switch to BW before and after join screen animation so you have a taste of how it works. | ||

In beta, there are relatively few users, and the environment is different. The average skill could change dramatically as a result of having so many more players. In SC2 beta, I reached the top of Diamond with ease simply through RTS fundamentals. Once the game went live, it became comparatively harder to reach the same level. There were a bunch of other players who could exercise the same fundamentals, they just didn't get a beta invite. So, it was necessary to reset ratings when SC2 launched officially. Now, once we actually get to live, that's when we can start looking at whether seasons or resets make sense to do, and when to do them. It will probably depend on the data. | ||
