I'm on the side of not allowing hotkey changes but it's just something I've thought about. Yea, plus i have a razer keyboard that allows complete key rebinding will that not be allowed? Also, i would think its pretty easy to tell if someone was left handed no? I know sc2 gears you can analyze the keys used in a replay (its normally used to identify barcode players). For a left handed person it would be super easy to tell. I hope no one thinks i was advocating the use of macros. Its was purely an accessibility question. I would just like to know if it is prohibited, if so no worries.

We really wanted to launch this server at the same time as running the TLS Championship, incentivizing people to start using the new server. Unfortunately, our Blizzard style soon TM stretched out too long, and the TLS had to run with little explanation for why it was delayed. Thats even better! This way we can get another tournament with the new Server.

Didn't ms also made a statement they wanted to create something that was backwards compatible with pre windows8 stuff?

Any chance for OSX compatibility? This would be really convenient for a lot of users. BW's playability is limited for me as I do not live in Europe/NA or Korea. Any chance the modifications you have made might improve performance? Allowing hotkeys to be changed will improve BW's accessibility if you have simple 1-to-1 remapping. There is nothing stoping someone having a gaming keyboard and getting the same functionality. Macros should be illegal and thankfully they are easy to spot. The website is cool but I feel needs more focus on the game rather than some icons and a drawer on the right. When I first saw the UI I had no idea how to even start a game and the chat taking up 90% of the space seems a little wasteful. Also there is a bug with autofill on chrome, here is a screenshot: ![]() Thanks guys, look forward to seeing the source code ![]() EDIT: fix image

Can we login with our registered accounts even if we did not receive closed beta invitation? Also is it me or is there no password retrieval method yet?

It's akin to W-Mode's 2x mode, but unlike that, we can scale to any resolution and do it fully GPU-accelerated (which both makes it much more performant *and* allows for doing a higher quality scale). Hi, you should get into contact with "madshi" about his no-ringing Lanczos implementation, in my experience it works wonders without overly smooth or anything. Just before you rescale to higher resolution with upscaler, you should also do the motion interpolation, cause modern LCD-s rarely support or 72hz, and even if you can set it to 72hz there's that tiresome frame repeat stuff. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145358 Prob. he can help with motion interpolation , also this could be somewhat of a challange since you can have over/under stuff seperated, for example interpolated unit movements won't mess up the grass texture. Again it should be 24*5 / 2 for normal LCD/ projector or 24*5 for 120hz. Besides I tested it already and madshi's no-ring Lanczos rescaler is AWESOME for BW (the best I found to watch replays) , actualy it looks like CRT.

We didn't do any testing yet on this front, but we feel it should work with the windows emulators at least, like Wine on Linux. But definitely need to spend a bit more time testing it and figure out what are our options. BW's playability is limited for me as I do not live in Europe/NA or Korea. Any chance the modifications you have made might improve performance? Not sure what you mean by performance exactly, but if you mean that you might be getting lagg by playing people from Europe/NA, we do plan to have your region factored in when doing the matchmaking, so there's a greater chance you'll be playing against players that are close to you, which should help with reducing the lagg/latency. The website is cool but I feel needs more focus on the game rather than some icons and a drawer on the right. When I first saw the UI I had no idea how to even start a game and the chat taking up 90% of the space seems a little wasteful. Chat taking 90% of the space is by design and something that we're certain is important to make them relevant and actually useful. All the newer games that make chat more of an afterthought in their design renders it completely underused and underdeveloped in most cases. We want to make chat a center part of our design and develop all of the features people would need/want for it. Also, this goes more in line with how the BW was played over the past 18 years on battle.net, where the chat was a very important part in fostering different communities all around the world. Also, the good thing about the matchmaking is that you really don't need that much space that focuses on the game itself. You have a button that says "Find Match" that you need to click and you're good to go ![]() On May 14 2016 20:44 lolcookie wrote: Also there is a bug with autofill on chrome, here is a screenshot: ![]() Yeah, we already have an issue opened for this on the github, just didn't get around to fixing it yet :p Will fix it as soon as possible now that you brought our attention back to it! That is the whole point of a closed beta ![]() And you're right, there's no password retrieval method yet, but there will be before go into the open beta.

I wonder will we have ladder on all resolutions and the more important - will possible tournaments should be allowed in different resolutions than the original? I think not.
