I'm not in any way involved with the production of this server or software but I would like to say that I feel the main issue with this is that it is a slippery slope scenario. If a server allows you to modify hotkeys because you are left handed, should they allow a player with four fingers to do the same? How about a person with a learning disability? How about the macros? What if your "left-handed" set-up is actually more akin to some super-efficient SC2 mapping that allows you to play the whole game off of 3 letters or something? How would you argue that the changes you made were only necessary for you as a left-handed person and not in any way giving you an advantage over another person? I think of it as an all-or-nothing decision, with the "nothing" being the much more logical choice simply because it is unreasonable to expect Admins to judge each case based on merit. How would you prove that you are left-handed and require new keys? How would anyone else prove their need for a key modification? How would the Admins "judge" the legitimacy of your needs? Would there be an appeals process, too? How about a jury? I think you see where I am going with this. It's nothing personal to you, but if a server condones one person to switch hotkeys, they will open the metaphorical Pandora's box on the matter. I believe this is why most servers in the past have not condoned this. Perhaps an ergonomic keyboard may help you, or one tailored to lefties. I have heard of Dvorak players before as well. I will reiterate, I am in no way affiliated with Shield Battery, I'm just expressing my thoughts on the matter. I am curious as well as to how Shield Battery handles this question.

From what I know it's has a KESPA filter built in. If you don't type pp or type to many p's when pausing a game then you are immediately kicked and your opponent is given the victory.

I'm on the side of not allowing hotkey changes but it's just something I've thought about.

mmmm mm... Nice read, yes , yes. OH WHAT THE FUCK! First, a BIG thank you to all involved in this project. This is the absolute hype mans and you are amazing + much love! Now I wonder about three things. What will be the future of the upcoming BW blizzard patch( with already having so much features in this is a patch really needed?), will the people get divided between bnet, iccup, fish and shield battery and will we get the koreans from fish into this? I hope if this is working good, bliz will use it as official server for their new patch(i am uncertain that they will provide us with better things but who knows)

These features sound like you changed pretty much the entire game from front end to back end, instead of just adding a server. Also, if port forwarding is no longer required, then it sounds like the game is no longer P2P, which means the latency to the server matters? If that's the case, and assuming the server is based somewhere in the US, then I can't really see the Korean community switching to this server. r1ch magic
