For the few people running NoScript : have you managed to make it work ?
For me it doesn't seem to work with NoScript on, even if I whitelist the javascript.

edit: well with ABE disabled it works. Not a big surprise. A bit annoying but I guess that's normal considering how it interacts with files.

well i got in, have been slaughtered a few times, guess i should learn how to play or something hah. Pretty seamless though, i like launching straight into the match from the browser screen, dont even need to have BW open. Very clean!

Yep, replays are handled very nicely, couldn't really ask for more in that department. The whole replay saving, replay folder and viewing experience is handled perfectly. Oh, thank you for my map requests being added too!

Had a couple nice (awful) team melee games today with 3-4 people on each side, got wrecked each time, a nice (I had to swear not to build any carriers for Em to let me rebuild my nexus) race war to close the night out though.

Stuff like obsing and matchmaking can be dealt with a makeshift solution, the only thing that can't be is some form of ladder/ranking system to gauge opponent skill level, still hoping for something of that sort to be implemented.

AFAIK Matchmaking is mostly done, but not on yet due to the small playerbase currently

Yeah, they seem to be in no rush because of the player count at the moment, which in totally fair. I don't really know how many people you'd need for effective matchmaking, but I think that until ShieldBattery is the size of iccup, it's not too worth it.

Matchmaking is definitely happening eventually, at least we have not heard anything else by the devs

There's a matchmaking system and there's a ranking system. I finalized the spec a while ago, it just has to be implemented. Like tec was saying, the userbase needs to be large enough to be able to leverage it, and there are other fixes/improvements that can be made in the meantime that will produce a greater immediate benefit for the project as a whole. This is also crunch time for a lot of tech companies, so they may not have as much time as they need until that crunch period is over.

Yeah I don't fully understand that decision either.
Probably it would be just as feasible to throttle the amount of users online somewhere else instead of doing so via invites.

having fun doing 1v1s and race wars atm. The windowed mode works flawlessly. Would be nice if I had a few more people to play with, and maybe disable fs for a week so that people will play on other maps

*scratches butt* so shoutout to all the guys who played race wars and 4v4 BGH tonight. Every time a new invite wave comes in we have inhouses that are always such a blast. RIP my monitor though 2012-2016. God fucking damn it.

Also I know I'm lucky to be in shieldbattery, but from someone who has played religiously for almost 4 months now (like I'm on Shieldbattery at least 2 hours a day, and often on way more than that) a lot of people log in, launch a game, say "Wow this is really neat!" and then disappear. Even the people who have cried and begged jump on for a bit but eventually disappear as well *cough* telecom *cough*.

Edit: I think the point I'm trying to make is Shieldbattery is very convenient and sleek, but at the moment it doesn't hold people's interests yet because of the small player base and no match-making. So to all the people who are frustrated about not getting in, you aren't really missing much that ICCup doesn't have. I know it is easier for me to say because I'm in it, but I can count on one hand the regulars I see coming in and asking for a game everyday. And that is out of hundreds of people, and a handful of whom have complained for an invite in this thread, etc.
I want to fuck Soulkey with a Zelderan.
