Even the people who have cried and begged jump on for a bit but eventually disappear as well *cough* telecom *cough*. Edit: I think the point I'm trying to make is Shieldbattery is very convenient and sleek, but at the moment it doesn't hold people's interests yet because of the small player base and no match-making. So to all the people who are frustrated about not getting in, you aren't really missing much that ICCup doesn't have. I know it is easier for me to say because I'm in it, but I can count on one hand the regulars I see coming in and asking for a game everyday. And that is out of hundreds of people, and a handful of whom have complained for an invite in this thread, etc.
It's funny you mention that you can just find games on ICCup. For me unfortunately I can't properly connect to others lobbies on ICCup (don't tell me how to fix it, I tried everything). I can only play on Fish server when I host a game and my friend joins. So yes, if I get the invite I think I would not be one of the join and disappear people. I do really appreciate those who are making and taking their time, I'll continue to learn builds and practice vs bots till then ;P

Where do you live, youngjiddle? I can't help you on iCCup but Fish has started banning fresh accounts on foreign connections from hosting games before they are manually approved, which could be anywhere from ten minutes to ten days to never,
Your game will show as "!Blocked Game [number]" on the list.

I'm from the US, and no I have not been banned on Fish when playing with my friend, maybe because we both made our accounts a few years ago? they aren't fresh. I find it funny when people complain about needing a korean phone number and stuff but it just works for us. Even BGH worked on Fish tehe.

Yeah you need a phone number to play on ladder but everything else should work. Melee/UMS all dat.

I'm talking about hosting, the problem you're having.

I think people misunderstand that you just can't ladder.

Yes. Client is very good and easy to setup

Somehow I found gameranger harder to use/connect to games with than I did opening my ports for iccup, etc. Apparently the average skill is only around D there.

Hey guys,
I took inspiration from the Overwatch menus to remake the ShieldBattery layout.
This is how ShieldBattery look right now: + Show Spoiler + This is how my layout look: + Show Spoiler +
The empty space on the right could be used to display stats. (your stats, a player stats you're inspecting, the ladder rankings, ..)
I did this in a couple of hours so it's far from perfect but I thought it could be nice for the SB team to also have graphics "feedback".
Cheers.

Nice attempt, I like the buttons. Two issues I have with that UI: - Too much empty space wasted in the header, in general everything is too big. - Drop down menu means that chat channels are two clicks away instead of one, and updated channels can't be highlighted.

I like the minimalist style of the Overwatch UI a lot. Everything is really big and spaced well. The emphasis is clearly on the buttons (PLAY, HERO GALLERY, etc.) and there's a lot of open area but it's filled well.

I think in general the main thing you have to consider when designing UX is "what do I want to do as a player and how do I do it?" Once you answer that question, the next question is "where's the button for that?" I think your mockup does a pretty good job of keeping stuff organized and straightforward. There are enhancements to be made, for sure, but I dig the minimalist approach.

Is everyone that doesn't play Toss on Shield Battery except me? I can't seem to get non TvP games anymore. One day I'll get an invite. One day!

So, you say you actually did get more than 1 out of 10 games that was not TvP before ShieldBattery was around?
