if however the winner can prove in his rep file that there was rwt, he is given the win and the loser is penalized. other than this we try to filter smurf to a ressonable extent , that is bad in the sense that many people want to practice heavily hiding their true id, good in the sense that there are not too many inactive users once the season is running and natuarally when they use their id they stop creating trouble for reporting. another thing, abyss is easy to disconnect and mis abuse. the disconnect rule is there for ugt, but if u can prove a 100% gaurantee win regardless of score for your disc you are awarded. the entire ugt crew has 2 wscl admins, 2 gosugamers.net crew, myself included was gg.net crew for a short time and 1 member of the stealthbot team. this is the basics for a quality administation structure, each are undoubtedly skilled and has experience to know how to run a quality system, any system. tl-west is there, and doing us a huge favor by providing practice ground for 1:1 gamers however our traffic is higher or about same in op soulclan in west, i do not think we need to spread the word around to invite gamers. infact we are looking for limited number of quality gamers, which is why we dont advertise so much. In addition ladder challenges in u.s east is even higher number of traffic. 2 active channels, but really if u think about LC it's almost equal to having 3 active wgt channel - this is how strong we are. if you doubt my words go to our site, keep track of archives for 24 hrs and see for yourself. | ||

Not only does score fail to account for positional and long-term advantages (e.g. new expos), but some units are worth a disproportionately high number of points relative to their cost. (e.g. a zealot costs 100 mins and gives 200 points, but a hydralisk costs 75/25 and gives 350 points) Also, whenever you kill your own units, no one gets any points for it. (e.g. spider mines or sieged tanks) | ||

1. disc = loss ? (when probability is higher pts is probably winning) 2. disc = game cancels (which means someoen can just unplug the cable and u get disc in middle of a ladder game) the policy has worked out well so far. but lets hear your suggestion. | ||

5 discs -50 pts +5 discs -150 pts +5 discs = banned for season (?) give me some feedback. i banned two gamers one from clan By. and another from neo) myself today. they were not following rules, regardless of how reputed they are - they are not above the law. either turn on ur pp, follow the rules or get lost ! 5 mins later the neo) guy turned his pp was turned on. he also tried smurfing in but that doesn't work - legit aka is required. i let him back in and keeping a monitor on him. another gamer did not turn his pp on , immediately after the game his opponent reported he wasn't using pp. rep file requires rwt and naturally he did not have it. (we ask for rep file when opponents refuse to report games by themselves via bot) - my orders were specific no pp , refuse to report your game. and he didn't have to report his loss (just two different types of example from above) last time wgt left us in vanilla despite agge's many appeal they turned their back. so u know what we did ? WE TURNED OUR BACK ON THEM ! WE REFUSED TO GO TO BW ! AND WE MADE OUR OWN LADDER SYSTEM ! and did the vanilla community survive ? YES ! go to LC at east urself and see - it will put op tot) op 3.33- (or even the past, now dead op hyo-) or any other bw community in shame of how actively they are having a quality time. Guys at BW are x 100 times bigger. And what are we doing ? sucking thumb. about abysss ... i generally dont like to criticize other systems, see every system (any system) requires a certain work. in general any technology , coders / programmers / software engineers are artists - one art work is better than the other ... but regardless abyss is a competition. the best way to know your competitions is to investigate it yourself. we get higher traffic, have more quality gamers and undoubtedly better reputation, a strong anti hack policy - but one thing is never to underestimate even the lowest ... so I went there myself. 1. i noticed they dont use anti hacks there are two categories of people who prefer this a) people who like to download inhale b) mac users who cannot install pp / bwl 2. "people say" their gamers lack quality i checked their top orders , they barely move - and have been inactive 3. traffic if we can out do a system's traffic in 2 days of launch what they had been running for over 6 months now then i think they should revise their policy 4. future development they opened a quake section. what are they thinking ? even after having run successful activity we are still upgrading our system everyday to make it easier on our gamers. technology wise we released two enhancer in past week alone (it was not mandatory) alter system for the first shooter game, quake. (do they even care about bw ?) - i can see the big sign on their front page for top 200 bw sites. i am a passionate gamer, i have a job now for writing medical softwares - this is my passion - and unless they treat it the same way they wont understand it. and how will they ? they ripped off a part of pvpgn and call it their system. what about the poeople who wrote it ? if they dont understand the value of writing raw source code from scratch will they know its real worth ? abyss / fish w/e u call them - don't it hurt their ethics to steal someone else's code (pvpgn) and call it their own ? check my posts on gg.net ... other websites - if there was any technology out there that would benefit bw gamers other than ugt i would jump for it. so would my admins remember they are all well known for contribution for the bw world - not for ugt but for some other work. i dont see any of their admins talking about anything other than abyss. by the way we have requests from korean gamers - we are also making korean versions of ugt launching it in korean channels. west as u know has a strong base for koreans and in the history of bw this is the first time bw west had a successful ladder and also vanilla had a succesful ladder - that's two barriers already broken. and lastly when is the last time a lead programmer from an established ladder system come forward to talk like this publicly ? pat ? no illi ? no ... who gets all the recognition for their work ? illi / pat - who knows me ? NO ONE ! u know i dont care (actually i do) but i still do what i do ... regardless. I think I confused myself a little bit with what i said in my last sentence !! but anyway !! U get the point ! I m getting 0 bucks for doing this. frankly i love my kids ! if u r not passionate about your players the players wont give a damn. i am one of you. I accept the criticism - it makes me think. we hunt it down ! poGDI at one point heavily criticized ugt, on my msn - u know what ? we accepted him as a head admin for his criticism and corrected ourselves. I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU ! WHAT DO U WANT TO SEE IN THE SYSTEM ? HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN IMPROVE THE SYSTEM ? some say 2:2 system priority some say auto launcher auto report priority some say clan league system. I dont want you to be nice people. I want you guys to throw it in our face so we can change the system around. yes i am a software engineer but yes ! I AM ALSO one of you and i am here to listen. make a wish list 3 wish list, what do u want to see ? number 1 will have top priority then 2 then 3 ... what do u wish to see ? If Blizzard gave us permission we would have an auto reporting launcher right now operating within the BLIZZArD gateways. Do they care ? We personally requested warden for permission. he just shut us off. I wish I could tell him, "you know, I write servers for medical companies x 100 times secured SERVER than your server system - not even one data can escape because medical history is a very private matter and we can get into BIG trouble if even one person's medical record slip. I wantd to tell him, Sir, DONT TRY TO TEACH ME about network security ! I am not from your mba school of business - unlike YOU I actually know what I am talking about !" I actually also sent my resume to blizzard three times. I even mentioned in it "ability to make a solid ladder system - critical", no response. :: sigh :: such ignorants. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF LISTENING TO BLIZZARD. HOW ABOUT U ? STICK AS A COMMUNITY ! SHOW THEM our strength. They made profit out of sc than any other game , made WoW out of it and now we are nothing but trash ? hey ! we are smarter and a better quality community than any of those clowns clicking with mouse on a screen ... Let's begin with... well, the beginning ^^ How do I get started? It's actually very easy! Visit http://ugtour.servegame.com/UGTBWSeason2.zip and download their mappack. You're also going to need pplug (http://www.bwprogrammers.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=14), but you should be using that already. They also even offer an "enhancer", which I will explain later, but from my experience seems safe, healthy and efficient. I've downloaded the maps, now what? Get on Us.West (or one of their other supported servers) and login using a battle.net account with which you wish to participate in UGTour. Go to channel op soulclan, and open up the profile the bot "UGTOUR-1". Here you'll find a list of admins who can add you to the ladder's list of registered members. This list can also be found on the main page of their website as "UGT Organizers". Once you're added, you can start gaming immediately! Find an opponent playing UGT, host a game using one of their official maps, and get started. After your game, all you need to do is report using a really easy system. But how do I report? After your game, simply return to the channel (op soulclan) and type either: -reportwin [joeuser] OR -reportloss [joeuser] The most difficult part of this step is to make sure the winner reports his victory before you confirm your loss. If you don't respect that rule, you'll both have to report again. That's right, you don't need to whisper a bot, upload any replays through a complicated filter, just type one line into the channel chat and you're ready for your next game. But neSix, typing that one line is too much fucking work! Well, personally I say fuck you because you're lazy, and you don't deserve a ladder. But UGT doesn't agree. They made it even easier for you to report your already disturbingly-easy games! The UGT Enhancer found at http://ugtour.servegame.com/Enhancer/UGT Enhancer.exe will allow you to simply press: F1 = -reportwin F2 = -reportloss F3 = -stats F4 = Alt+n , may be used to point at a player in channel so their name comes out. That's right, it TYPES FOR YOU! Now if only they'd just host an enhancer that played the games for you... shucks. Summary:
