I am just very curious about that 2 base hive play Zero played against Mong. I haven't seen anything like that (at least for a long time), and I wonder, whether it is a legit strategy, or Zero just got lucky twice in a row (?). Also, if you happen to know any notable games, where this 2 base hive was executed, please let me know. He faced Mong again in the 41SL this morning. You should watch the vods on that!

Hmm, interesting. One thing I'm not clear about though, is he researches hive before morphing any lurkers, which definitely seems different from the classic ZvT 3 hatch build I learned. Is this really so common? Is it specific to play against double cc?

When mech 1-1 upgrades finished, Mong attacked 12 with his tanks while his vultures go to 11. The vultures run into spines and get annihilated quickly. I can't help but to scream when I saw that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

From what I have seen, the "some extra sunks" were deliberate, and the play looked different from the usual intention "make 3rd - terran gets aggresive - secure with lurkers on the ramp - hope terran insists on forcing ramp preferably without tanks and vessels - oh shit, there is drop on my...". I dont say it is brand new strategy, just didn't see that in a hundreds of games that I watched recently. So if you can link to any of actual games played, it would be more productive than facepalming. Thank you.

His hive timings relative to his third and lurker timings is something I haven't really seen in a really long time. Super early and really fragile.
