Though your logic about people being hackers is probably pretty effective generally (if there are a lot of suspicious people & games then it's probably true etc.) I would place some SERIOUS doubt on half the people who frequent this forum.. I mean seriously, I come here even though I no longer play SC/BW because I do enjoy hearing about the community, but to be honest there are like 3 types of people on this forum.. 1. People who are "known" in community in some form (not many of you..) 2. People who wish they were and jump on every bandwagon 3. People who either don't understand English very well (not that that's bad) or are stupid. I'm not taking any side whatsoever on this since like I said, I don't really follow BW other than the stuff in the news section and some friends on AIM.. But judging from my experience with the whole WDT controversy and many smaller topics throughout my visits here.. Bleh. I don't trust the quality of the posters here -.-; I mean seriously, only in this forum would someone who spams smily faces not be banned. | ||

I don't post here much even though I do visit a lot.. And that's for a reason. I don't consider myself an active participant on these forums (41? and I've been around since halpmeh.com..) and therefore don't really see myself as one of the 'forumers'.. Duh. You starting 3rd grade crap like that is part of the reason why I feel that way. Every forum has it's share of smart and stupid people, but IMO it's a bad idea to base potentially damaging accusations--or in this case, affirmations on opinions of people who may very well be intelligent (or neutral/unbiased if you want it that way), but in the past they have not collectively shown it.. I mean, Jinnam playing for ilnp? WDT conspiracy theories..? If TL.net forumers' popular opinion were truth then Brood War would have more plot twists than Days of our Lives. **edit: adding to this-- I'm sure there were some legit claims vs ilnp, but you have to admit a majority of the posts were bandwagon flames :[ If you want to take a look at a more extreme example, would you believe that say, someone like Rekrul was a maphacker if 90% of the people at BROODWAR.COM said so? Like I said, I don't know much about this oddy thing, and I actually don't care too much about what goes on here, I'm just bored t.t | ||

im going by the opinion of almost every good player I know, and my own, as he has the most hackish playing style since 1.07 testie. his micro is average, his macro is good, his strats are always perfect (even if he doesnt scout his opponent), his timing is always perfect, and he wins way more games than someone with his micro and macro should win. he also always scouts expansions after they're made and rarely before they're made, he's not even good at covering up. =[ in addition he used to, according to a whole shitload of players, be one of the most obvious hackers on his former nicknames, AND he's not going to go to wcg where people would see if he's actually good or not. there are just way too many coincidences for him to be legit, sorry. and terrandynamics, he's near the top of the wgtour ladder.. those people _should_ be exposed and banned, as they might get to play in the top 16 tourney among other thing. (although im not in favour of banning oddy as there is no concrete evidence, however I do want more and more people to find out that he hacks so they stop playing him.=[ ) | ||
