Could b just a precaution since he did not block, but that is not his normal BO in terms of facts/marines. Second, engineering bay is normal, even a tad late, which is also telling. Then as soon as the shuttle is built and visible, Oddy gets an academy, since this would mean a DT drop, not just Dts. Then notice that Oddy does not build SCVs at either CC for more than just a few seconds while waiting for the academy to finish. He was being more than extra careful that he would have two comscans up ASAP as the shuttle with DTs was already on its way. Third, his vultures around the 11:30 mark. First they go above the goons outside, which is completely normal. Then they go toward the expand, BUT then they suddenly veer off to the left side, just as three goons run upward, on what would have been an intercept course. The instant the goons are all the way up with the rest of the group Oddy starts his probe harass. Good timing isnt tough when you have that kind of reconnaissance. Maybe I am just being paranoid about this rep, but there were just too many questionable moves, and all in one game. I guess he thinks a low-level wgtour player is too newbie to know hacking when he sees it so he can be blatant. | ||

I saw z7-polka's info so I dl'ed one of ut)gameik0s' losses. The way his dropship manuevered around the 10 zergling/olord scouts that zerg had spread around the map really made me laugh. Not only is it normal to fly your dropship around the edge of the map like that (watch ArtOfTerran play, he does it alot, especially in his recent rep vs ggon) but also why the hell would he take all the time to fly around his stuff and then go strait into a pair of scourge? Plus I play against oddy alot. This isn't meant to trash oddy, but he does way too many stupid mistakes that a hacker would be able to avoid tt | ||

I just get my ass kicked. Can I borrow some of this luck from you Roman? The game is skill, I know theres luck in the game, but I doubt that luck makes the biggest factors in a game. Skill is the biggest factor in any game. In skill comes a little bit of luck. However... if you got attacked at your main, and managed a getaway with 1 probe to start a new base beginning a comeback. Then beginning the comeback is luck. Finishing it off, is skill. Maybe? | ||

ill explain what happened in the replay that i dont have anymore, i went 2 fac gol drop but i got range cuz i only scouted 1 of his facs with no add on so i fugred wraiths. when my rax got to his base it turns out he went 2 fac star port and had his d ship over his guys, btw his rax never came to my base and his scv didnt get up my ramp cuz i blocked it so he wasnt aware of my build. so i drop on the edge of his base and i planned to walk gols up and kill his d ship cuz i had range. well as soon as the 2nd gol unloads he flies his d ship away and moves his guys together for no reason at all, hmmmm | ||

HovZ - Since you don't have the replay your accusation counts for nothing (but you already know that) I've played him quite a few times, never seen any "blatant hacking" Not to mention there's things all the time when I do something in a game and say to myself "this guy's gonna think I hack." I don't know though, honestly I don't really care, even if he did hack I'd still consider him a friend. People take this game way too seriously. | ||

 One last thing that seemed ODD in the replay that I posted earlier: at 4:17 he moves all of his marines forward off of his ramp with an attack command. The zealot and the goon had come into view, literally, less than a second before. This kind of instant reaction just makes it seem to much like he turned off maphack as the guys got really close and intentionally stood with the marines selected waiting til the toss units got into view just so he could make that attack move appear legitiment. BTW, We all have broodwarchart.exe, but does anyone know how to use it to check for illicit clicks? I know hackers can avoid this trap by simply not clicking on anything they can not actually "see", but has anyone checked some of these suspicious reps? I also apologize for claiming the link I posted was "proof", obviously it is not clear proof and it is only indicative of his guilt. However, I sincerly hope that someone will find a replay that is "proof". | ||

I once had many very suspicious replays of a player, and a friend of the accused hacker wanted to see what I had found. Every suspicious thing in those reps was not suspicious according to him. He assured me he was 100% sure his friend does not hack. His friend admitted hack the same day. | ||

From a player like me or Day[9] who play him day in and day out, and Me who obs's almost all his games, he does not hack. If you notice he reacts like x10 slower than the average pro-gamer. His builds are solid, and his macro/micro is very good. The hack theory started when he jetted to #1 WDTour and no one knew him... thats bullshit i think, stop crying and get over it, the kid is very skilled and you'll never find anything against him. This thread proves how many jealous people there are in the community~ | ||

Though your logic about people being hackers is probably pretty effective generally (if there are a lot of suspicious people & games then it's probably true etc.) I would place some SERIOUS doubt on half the people who frequent this forum.. I mean seriously, I come here even though I no longer play SC/BW because I do enjoy hearing about the community, but to be honest there are like 3 types of people on this forum.. 1. People who are "known" in community in some form (not many of you..) 2. People who wish they were and jump on every bandwagon 3. People who either don't understand English very well (not that that's bad) or are stupid. I'm not taking any side whatsoever on this since like I said, I don't really follow BW other than the stuff in the news section and some friends on AIM.. But judging from my experience with the whole WDT controversy and many smaller topics throughout my visits here.. Bleh. I don't trust the quality of the posters here -.-; I mean seriously, only in this forum would someone who spams smily faces not be banned. | ||

I don't consider myself an active participant on these forums (41? and I've been around since halpmeh.com..) and therefore don't really see myself as one of the 'forumers'.. Duh. Every forum has it's share of smart and stupid people, but IMO it's a bad idea to base potentially damaging accusations--or in this case, affirmations on opinions of people who may very well be intelligent (or neutral/unbiased if you want it that way), but in the past they have not collectively shown it.. I mean, Jinnam playing for ilnp? WDT conspiracy theories..? If TL.net forumers' popular opinion were truth then Brood War would have more plot twists than Days of our Lives. **edit: adding to this-- I'm sure there were some legit claims vs ilnp, but you have to admit a majority of the posts were bandwagon flames :[ If you want to take a look at a more extreme example, would you believe that say, someone like Rekrul was a maphacker if 90% of the people at BROODWAR.COM said so? im going by the opinion of almost every good player I know, and my own, as he has the most hackish playing style since 1.07 testie. his micro is average, his macro is good, his strats are always perfect (even if he doesnt scout his opponent), his timing is always perfect, and he wins way more games than someone with his micro and macro should win. he also always scouts expansions after they're made and rarely before they're made, he's not even good at covering up. =[ in addition he used to, according to a whole shitload of players, be one of the most obvious hackers on his former nicknames, AND he's not going to go to wcg where people would see if he's actually good or not. there are just way too many coincidences for him to be legit, sorry. and terrandynamics, he's near the top of the wgtour ladder.. those people _should_ be exposed and banned, as they might get to play in the top 16 tourney among other thing. (although im not in favour of banning oddy as there is no concrete evidence, however I do want more and more people to find out that he hacks so they stop playing him.=[ ) | ||
