How is it so difficult to accomodate those who want to play in the TLS? If there is any trouble with communication, then get a translator. Also, what do you mean you are rusty at administering these events? This is TLS Season 3! You seem to have everything, including the broadcast dates, thoroughly planned out and organized. I can tell you that you are heavily underestimating how much there is needed for this, and how understaffed we are. This would be tons of extra work, something we really can't do. Not including many different reasons.

I have seen Korean players, such as Pado and Terror[fou], play in Defiler tours. It looks just as easy for them to join as it does for foreigners. How and why should it be any more complicated in the TLS?

How and why should it be any more complicated in the TLS? I think the point is that Korean players, most of them at least are much better players than foreigners and this in turn can discourage foreign players from improving. Aside from Sziky, I can't see many foreigners having much luck against Koreans. That and as he mentioned in the OP, communication is a big issue(possibly lag too). They'll need a translation and someone who's reliable. Best to grow the foreign scene, improve the skill then with due time, possibly open TLS to the Korean gamers. Either way, they have SSL/SRT etc... and with streaming, they are making enough to survive and thrive on.

Koreans have sospa, china seems to have their own little scene. And we have this. Let's not beat around the bush.

You say that Korean players will discourage foreigners from improving because Koreans are much better. I believe the opposite is true: Having a better crop of tournament players will make the scene more competitive and will push foreigners to improve their game. I'm not saying we should allow ex-progamers or SSL/SRT players in the TLS, as their skill level is much higher than even Sziky's. What I am suggesting is that we allow lower-level Korean players (i.e. amateurs and lower) that can communicate with officials and follow the rules of the tournament and, of course, not lag in their games with other players.
