I have noticed units' move speed and they all do look faster. And I know that it is possible to increase the game speed to be faster than fastest using UMS maps (e.g., all those 2x and 3x fastest maps).
Probably all the pros multitasking and godly apm makes the pace of the game feel faster thus the units themselves, but no, all games are played on fastest setting

I'm not really up to date with BW meta(like ever) but i really enjoy watching pros. A question though like is lategame tvz really switch from bio to mech ? I've watched old bw pro vods and it wasn't like that before. Why ?

Reason is that zerg player are really amazing at using defilers late game and older styles like SK Terran is intensive and has issues with that etc...

I think Fantasy vs Zero on neo moon glaive in early 2010 was the first or if not one of the first games that showed the modern bio to mech transition or late mechanic as its more known now. After that more and more terrans began to use it and now its pretty much the standard strategy in tvz.
Imo late mechanic was a kind of natural transition from Flash's tank heavy late game strategy (most famous example is Flash vs Calm on fighting spirit). Zergs were getting better and better with late game defilers + ultras that terrans were experimenting with ways to beat zerg late game. Flash began to use tanks more lategame instead of pure sk terran then Fantasy (and also Sea) came along showing the effectiveness of late mechanic and pretty much every terran after began using it. iirc Flash was actually pretty slow in using it compared to other terrans back then.

I have got two quick questions about SC:R that I didn't find the answers to but maybe one of you guys can answer this
First off, is SC:R going to be played via the Bnet 2.0 launcher like the more recent Blizzard titles (SC2, Hearhstone, etc.)? And if yes, what will happen to LAN play?
From what I understand BW's LAN support is essential for tournament play and also lays the foundation for how ICCup works. Also, it enables people to pirate the game, hence why Blizzard removed LAN support in their modern games as far as I know. Likely they will also take this route with SC:R and I wonder what will become of the community-run servers and how many people would be willing to trade in gameplay at LAN latency for high-definition textures.

There is datamined assets that suggests it will be on Blizzard app and I believe there's an interview saying that B.net 2.0 accounts can be used. LAN was promised in the announcement trailer.

I think every tvz so far I've saw on Andromeda besides Ssak vs Jaedong was bio instead of late mechanic. I haven't seen enough games of terrans using late mechanic on Andromeda so far to really tell why they don't go late mech on it though.

They dont go mech because of two island expansions.

is there a reason why people spam their ladder ranks on fish 1.16? its not like they actually play ladder games, all they do is host melee games afterwards..
|
What's the best way to find a specific replay that one is looking for? I used to like BWChart for this but it doesn't work with replays played on 1.18 saying the replays are corrupted. So I wonder, is there an alternative to loading up and checking every replay manually?

Because they want to play the game, but don't want to play on 1.18?

Doesnt make much sense to me when i see Bisu spamming for D rank games on Fish, he's never gonna lose any of those games and he's not getting any ladder pts. I know he wants to play games on 1.16 but why not play against good players (almost every korean still uses 1.16) instead of playing low lvl D rank amateurs?

Removing LAN for Broodwar, only for Broodwar though is definitely a dealbreaker for a lot of people. Unless of course internet access is perfect globally and is as reliable as air TV signals
|
LAN wasn't and isn't going to be removed for broodwar, so no reason to worry about that.
