Why would he WANT to play in 16 is the better question. They've played in 4:3 for 20 years almost. Assumption on my part, but I don't think even one of them was begging or even spent one second of their day thinking they would need this change.
There's always going to be pro's that prefer to just stick with 4:3 but now they can't because 16 gives an advantage.

And can you stop trying to bash SC2 all the time, that makes you sound entitled and whiny...
i dunno, i assume that familiarity is very important to pro gamers. It's important to me to play on the very same setup every time. I couldn't just switch my mouse, keyboard, monitor or any other relevant hardware piece and still play the same.
We know that Effort (?) was angry with a Starleague setup when he couldn't play on Windows Xp. because the mouse felt different on Windows 7. I guess it's a very meaningful change to alter the aspect ratio. It throws your comfort zone way off.
It def. took me a hundred games or so to get completely used to my 16 full stretched Broodwar. Today i wouldn't be able to play on 4:3.

Why I think progamers would not play 16: 09? Ha its because it would be cheat in competitive play it would mess up the game /balance and it Will never happen BW = 4:3

I assume that's where they got that blurb in the interview.
But Bisu and Stork were fairly low-tier SC2 pros, so you're not completely wrong

Windows 7 or 10 had an inherent lag even in lan which made muta micro much harder to pull off. This has been confirmed by some other tl.net members already. Nothing to do with the mouse. It WAS a big issue if you play on that high level where you can basically lose because your muta micro is not perfect.

cheat is the wrong word im saying it changes the game dynamics and competitive bw = 4:3 that will never change

it's going to be up to the players whether they'd want to play 16;9 or 4:3. actually i made a bet with my friend that most of them will probably stick with 4:3 due to familiarity but i wouldn't be surprised if some played with 16;9 because it just provides more field of view to work with.
it's just going to be the same situation as it is in csgo - a ton of pros still play in 4:3 even though its been proven to provide less field of vision than widescreen, just only because it feels comfortable to them.

If you mean Iccup it would be "op Teamliquid", but normaly you can count the people on one hand - or finger.

Ok, you're seriously stretching if you think having a higher aspect ratio will effect balance.
