And yet, they've kept a server alive for years that we can all play starcraft on without the hackers of battle.net and the like.
Honestly, I don't really care all that much about petty leadership. Every organization run by 20 year old volunteers is filled to the brim with petty and childish power abusers, and ICCup is no different. As long as they have players on their server, that's where most of us will play BW.

There is truth in this that Iccup bans entire cities if 1 user is evading an IP ban. I just met a user, sgs.ryker, whose whole city Dallas was IP banned because he asked if Iccup.GeckoXP had a boyfriend (which he does).
Signficant community contributors have stayed banned for the last 3-4 years because of personal vendettas from Iccup.GeckoXP. However, it is logical on servers with self-selected admins that the admins will do volunteer work only so they can ban those they have personal vendettas against.

Why do people criticize iccup and the admins in this thread? Its not relevant imo, this thread discusses the server not what geckoxp does or how bad iccup is or how it can improve. Maybe there should be a seperate thread for that.

StarServer needs a web developer! Hey guys, one of the things that's currently slowing down the server's progress is our lack of a dedicated web developer with experience and time. Basically we need someone with PHP and SQL experience who can code a forum and tournament and clan system. You'd need to be comfortable using MVC, and have enough time and experience to be able to dedicate several hours a week to the site.
PM me if you think you're up for it!
