But that might attract some sc2 players, and its more funnier, you have some things to do with achievements, not just play play, lose, lose, win and slam keyboards. :D

Uni assignments and work and soccer and a generally busy life have slowed me down personally, but after Tuesday I'll have more free time again and will get some more of the site done again.

Do you at least have Auto-Matchmaking working yet?

The largest part of the AMM is done, and the rough draft for the second largest part is basically done, with perhaps a third of that needing doing and then the implementation itself. The way we're doing it means that neither party will need to be able to host themselves, but it does mean it's more work.

![]() Or put your effort into programmning a bot, which host games. I don't see any reason why iCCup should suck so much. Yes, I prolly missed out all the drama but imo is iCCup the best we foreigners have and with some improvement on their side it could become awesome again. And I really see a chance for that. Just my personal opinion, but I see soon a time coming where the iCCup SC server will fall into the hands of the community and those who want to take care of it, because the current programmers will take down their work on it. So iCCup will look for new people. (Dunno if it really will happen like that, just my observation).

Hi Orite, iCCup.xboi209 here ![]() There won't be any improvement to SC on iCCup anytime soon or most likely at all, even very simple things have been requested and denied before.

Hi ![]() Well, that suck then. Maybe if they read this thread and see people will move if they don't change some things, they are ready for some changes ![]()

At worst, this server won't really take off and many permanently leave ICCup as well. Or perhaps this server will act as a stepping stone between sc2 and iccup by being newbie friendly, bringing more people into bw. If it had a large D- level playerbase and auto matchmaking, that would be great for anyone trying to switch, but probably wouldn't get many C- and higher people involved.

Sadly, I think that that's wishful thinking. sGs exists, and D- players can always find D-/D level games on ICCup with minimal effort. The game is still the same, and that in and of itself is not friendly to newbies. Features are almost irrelevant compared to the game itself. As another way of thinking about it: if the SC2 ladder were ICCup, I don't see why newbies would have too much trouble.
