It would be very difficult to provide good ideas without any sort of status update. I encourage you to put together a short and professional milestone report of sorts, just to present to the people here. A single image with a timeline would work very well, with what's done, what's being done and future plans.

I think September is such a good timeline. I know the server I was going to help build, we estimated 6-8 months.

Edit: and then 2 months of beta.

I used to be an admin on the NeoGame-i servers and also translated the website they had running in Greek. If you need my help for an admin position, throw me a PM. I am an active starcraft BW player and I won't be playing sc2 any more. Admins could also look through reported players and decide whether there was use of maphack,abuse etc.

Hopefully, if this happens, people will play there. I will definitely give it a shot.
The port forwarding thing, as well as automated matchmaking would draw in a lot of people I think. A lot of what turns people off from BW is not being able to host games, or even to get the game to run properly.

I hope you guys are advertising and working on versions in Korean... I know it sucks, but you really should make wdetector standard rather than chaoslauncher, if you want koreans to come.

wDetector is a hassle for non korean speakers and we can't modify it so it's definitely a no.

I see no reason for Koreans to want to switch anyways. Why would they waste time with walk-over foreigners when they can play only people at their level?

Auto matchmaking would mean they would be playing vs players of their level. There's no inherent "if you're korean you're better", just the average Korean is better than the average foreigner. Ideally all the Koreans would switch from Fish and Asia, all the Chinese from their server, all the foreigners from iCCup and US East, and everyone would be on one server. Might not be possible to achieve that but that's one of my goals for the server.

We're not using wLauncher, we're coding our own launcher which is not chaoslauncher. It's better ;D
