But, what I am trying to say is. I am just so tired of all the hackers. I usually take a stand against some. But now it is to the point where I just expect one of my ally or opponents to multi or maphack. Almost impossible to get a clean game going??
It is just insane, it was not as bad 6 months ago.
Has anyone heard anything from blizzard regarding Broodwar East Servers. Or, is there a way I can report the hackers?
I keep a list of names I have written down on a notebook and replays as proof.
blizzard hasn't really enforced anything on useast for broodwar since probably 2001. Even when the ladder was still active people hacked it and blizz didn't do anything. Sadly there's no way to deal with it other than use anti hacks or finding a circle of friends who you can trust and don't play public games.
I wouldn't count on Blizzard to do anything that concerns BW from now on... Just play normal maps on iccup/fish? Fastest is crap anyway. If you really want to play money, I'm not sure but I think some koreans might play it on fish (not fastest, but some different money map).
I think there are occasional fastest map games on iCCup if you wanna try that out. There are also most definitely BGH games on iCCup too. I don't know if it's fullproof, but the iCCup anti-hack has to be significantly better than US East's 0 measures against hacking.
They won't do anything about hackers. I remember I would even try reporting the popular hackers to blizzard and the hackers were still hosting games weeks/months later.
Also I remember I tried a korean hack detector years ago which gave a message at the start of each game. Is that the same one in your videos? Does it tell you when it detects multicommand? I stopped using that one because it was too sensitive. It often alerts of multicommand at the start of games meanwhile it's just the b.net lag at the start. Players select all 4 workers and makes a worker from their main right when the game lags (it freezes for .5 seconds or so) and the antihack thinks it's a multicommand/automine. It gives a lot of false readings. I think I used a combination of advloader and chaoslauncher. I used chaos as my primary loader and took some plugins from adv lol.
FMP is more balanced on vanilla SC too. FMP dominated east and west on original. There are less players to play against compared to BW but you will actually come across better games on original. Any top tier FMP player would agree with that. I haven't player SC in years so I'm sure the FMP community has nearly died out but give original a shot and see how it is. You might come across less hackers. You can also try switching between east and west. The latency difference is almost nonexistent.

This is good advice. Could also try a korean server like Fish? I don't know if they play fastest over there... or if you'd mind the language barrier though.

I think there is a lot more hackers in these FMP games, if you really want to rid yourself of hackers you should try to lean more towards non money maps, once you get a grip on how it is played it is more enjoyable as well. Also no offense to you or anyone that likes FMP, but it isn't how StarCraft was made to be played, I don't even consider it real starcraft.
I really love the advice and love you guys give. Is there ANY way or hotline...I could call or contact to get rid of these hackers. I WILL make it my own personal holy war to get rid of them. If there is a will there is a way.... Someone much wiser than me said that.

In sc1 the top level of FMP was pretty competitive and very difficult to learn. There is only 1 map to play on and after like 8 years or so it still had better players entering the community. I completely agree with you that it was not how sc was meant to be played and that the top players on FMP don't even compare to the top bw players, but it didn't break the game in the sense where it was no longer considered real starcraft. FMP did have unlimited resources but the build times, units, and rate of income remained the same. It has 50 mineral patches right next to the main but that just means 1 scv is required per mineral patch. There are probably less workers mining in a top tier FMP game than workers mining in a SC2 game. I'm not trying to argue which is superior, just trying to say that FMP isn't as bad as most people probably imagine it to be. The biggest difference between is securing addition resources and transferring workers. Also players like Stalife and Hashe came directly from FMP, as did Team Vile.

Is there a way to report hackers. This is my main question now, I REALLY will go the full effort in creating petitions or speaking with someone on the phone. Some people don't understand...I will PAY money to create a effort to stop bw hacking. Help me help you plz
Fastest might be somewhat okay if it were not for the fact that all of your workers are retardedly stacked up in one place. This totally discourages offensive play, since you need to make such an effort to prevent a storm/scarab/etc from going off on your workers. Also no one cares that good players came from fastest.. The fact that they switched only goes to show that they realized low-money is by far better.

I don't think you understand. Blizzard isn't going to do shit. Petitioning or throwing money at them won't help either. They simply don't want to be bothered with BW.
Oh I doubt that, there must be something we can do. I have logged many alias, give me a number and I will call or speak with something. Ill do a facebook/petiton soon tomorrow.

Yep. It's called playing iccup or fish which have anti hacks and ban people who are found abusing.

Yep. As I said I wasn't arguing which one was better. Just saying it's not as bad as people think. I remember situations in TvP where protoss made cannons at his choke so he can make 2 nexus while teching to drop to do what you mentioned. I made another cc when seeing the cannons and knew he wouldn't play offensive. Then used the cc for scanner (since you can't attach one to the main) and then scanned and knew he was teching. Then I got upgrades while making a turret ring around my base and marines from barracks. He lost his shuttle, while I had an upgrade advantage. The whole game he kept calling me a hacker because I knew he would drop and got turrets up in time. There is also a trick where you hotkey workers and hotkey a screen location to another base that has vision of geysers/mins, and then send all your workers there as the drop is coming. This allows all workers to move like a train and stacked. So drops aren't as strong as long as you're aware of the minimap.
But yeah you're 100% correct. I just think that on SC1 original FMP isn't as bad as people imagine it to be.
-
and I agree with everyone else. Get the idea out of your head about banning hackers. If we couldn't do it as a group before sc2 came out what makes you think you can do it all by yourself now? lol. It's just the way it's always been. Deal with it or play somewhere else.
I will take the advice users have given me.. But I will not stop, tomorrow I will speak with a rep and see how far I can get. This has gone to far. Tomorrow I will not back down, and you will see. Forum post/evidence

Good luck, I guess. There's considerable precedent for everyone to believe that Blizzard won't do jack about people hacking BW on BNet. They have no incentive to do so.

just use wlauncher O_O it detects hacks.. and blizzard really isnt gonna do anything i got ip banned from west once while playing d2 single player with a runeword mod and i called blizzard they said they have this automated banning thing that bans you if some kind of hack is detected. they wont go out of their way to put in manpower for the purpose of removing hackers... what your saying is kindve silly... just use the launcher.. if it detects hackers and you dont want to play then leave. east does have alot of hackers but ive played a bunch of games where there werent any.
If there are mods or users who Still Play East BW, I thinking of starting a clan or base. Where we can play/catch hackers. This will give us a bigger user base/stand.
I will iron out the details tomorrow, but if interested plz send me a pm.
You're late to the party. Think of it like this. Imagine a time and place where the lands flourished and the streets were busy with people. Everyone was into a certain game and stadiums were filled and the lines to sign up for competition were long. People were training in the back rooms everyday. Everyone tried really had to do well at the game and they hated when people would cheat to win. This caused a lot of complaints and trouble.
The game is starcraft and the people are the players. The cheaters are the hackers. The ideal way of this problem to get solved is for everyone to complain and for the owners (blizzard) do something about it. We tried this and it did not turn out how you think it would turn out. Proof of this is the removal of SC1 ladder system. There was a ladder button you could press that was among join and create, this button showed the top 1000 players on the ladder. When you pressed this button it showed people with 9999 ratings, 100000 wins and 0 loses. Winbot killed ladder. You would think blizzard would step in and fix this right? Nope. They just removed the ladder. People just went on to make their own leagues and ladders such as scd, vgt, Iccup, fish, etc. People played games and reported on websites to update the website ladders and if anyone was suspected of hacking the replays were sent in to be observed by a group of people. If enough evidence was gathered then that hacker was banned. Blizzard had no involvement with these people. Blizzard did not even patch the game for years and years.
Fast forward to today
The streets are no longer busy and the stadiums are nearly empty. Nearly no one trains anymore and the competition is no longer as strong. The creators of this game now moved onto its next game. Now some new people get involved in this old game and they don't like the cheaters. They raise their voice to argue against the cheaters but nothing happens. The owners do nothing. Everyone looks at this guy, this guy who has hope, but he was not around when it were thousands just like him, and those thousands got the same empty answer.
conclusion
Blizzard won't do anything. Even if you did manage to get a hacker banned, they will most likely just come back on with another cdkey or account. Alot of times hackers wouldn't even get banned, they would just get their keys muted. So the ideal vision you have right now is practically not even a possibility. Blizzard didn't even do anything when 90% of their ladder had hackers. Why would they step in now that it doesn't even matter anymore? It's a fruitless effort if you're putting it all towards b.net and Blizzard.

The Iccup admin crew has always let players hack in 3x3, FFA, UMS, BGH and Fastest games. To quote a former admin (diamond) "we just don't care lol". I'm pretty sure things have not changed.
Come to play fmp on iccup, there are some occasional hackers but it's rare.

if you want to play competitively go play scd. by competitively i mean go there if you want to actually learn how to play FPM. just don't get disheartened when you get thrashed 0-10 by D players.
if you want some inhouse 1v1s (with less probability of drawing hackers) go to channel "as" on east server. most are noobs but there are many legit players there who would most likely beat you.
if you want to keep pubbing, you run the high risk of facing hackers. been like that for years.
can't speak for the fourth option people are talking about (ICCUP) since i haven't played it.

Sad but true. I miss being high on the East ladder through legitimate means ;-;
You can play fastest on iccup but you will probably win 1v2, 1v3 as I have a few times and im not that good at melee. The fastest players on iccup are really bad.
Haven't seen any hackers, or maybe the hacks don't help them enough.

I see koreans playing money maps in pc bangs all the time. There is a community for it, presumably mostly hacker free.

Yeah, ~6500 games a season still. Community is active and a lot of old players still around.

Except you can NEVER protect your workers effectively in FMP.
I've successfully stormed going through a 50+ cannon ring around the Nexus, all you have to do is disruption web the cannons, then lead in with cosairs while dropping zealots to soak up additional fire then finally storming (5 d click shuttle 4 tttttttt click mineral patch for the 50 probe kill). Add in hallucinations if the opponent is at least decent and try to target fire, but with 10+ hallucinated shuttles it's still in your favor to successfully storm.
Late game protoss is seriously OP as 1 recall (with hallucinations and multiple real arbiters OFC to bypass defenses) of ~15 reavers will take out the main hatchery/CC/Nexus, and you'll be able to win a war of attrition as now your opponent has to distant mine which is a HUGE disadvantage in FMP.
Ahh... those were the days with the fastest SGT clan, top team on East yo owning shit up left and right in my teenage years.

this petition is dumb and will not accomplish anything. you're only wasting your time. the most successful non-blizzard anti-hack campaign on public servers was the BWHF hacker database. even though they caught THOUSANDS of hackers with concrete evidence, blizzard didn't ban the known hackers. you think really blizzard will give a shit when some random dude sends him a notepad saying "look here! hackers! BAN THEM!!!!!, i have 1000 clicks on my petition!"?
as the others continue to say, be realistic. if you want to pubs, you will face hackers and there's nothing you can do about it. if you want to play good players who will rape you repeatedly, yet do not use hacks, play SCD. my advice is to just suck it up like the rest of the players. if the hacks are that unbearable, go play league. simple

Banning hackers in BWHF's database isn't reliable because they could just spoof and innocent people will get banned. But even then, the tech support at their classic forums say they don't discuss actions against hackers for privacy reasons and then they stop responding. Petitions won't do anything, period.
