OMG! Seriously?! I can't emphasize strongly enough on how happy that makes me! =D Bless this man's heart!
That's awesome O_O, that guy must be one of the best BW fans in the history!

oh well, that means that the guy 2 posts up asking about Flash playing SC2 needs to wait a bit longer.
The level of play...
Please for God's sake, at least let OSL to finish before starting up another league. Or at least prohibit the participant to not practice any other games. ZerO even noticed the quality of games dropping due to having multiple of games to play with. I have never seen so many sloppy games in a row in my spectating routine as much as recently. Back in 2010, you could bet your arse that nobody would make similar mistakes.
I will continue to spectate if BW progamers significantly increased the skill ceiling of SC2, and that they will dominate the SC2 scene 1-2 months after the transition.

You fail to understand that this is not champions league(a tournament) shutting down, it's your team(the guys that pay you) playing another sport.

Well the thing is though, other than knowing rts fundamentals, being a BW pro doesn't automatically mean you will dominate in SC2. I think one of the biggest problems will be how BW pros transition to SC2 (what teams they will be placed on, what coaching and practicing environment), because the things that set BW pros apart beyond natural talent and mechanics is essentially the work ethic and practice environment. Unless the BW top players get transferred into a good training / coaching environment I find it really hard to believe that they can catch up to the top echelon in 1-2 months because knowledge of the evolving meta game is going to take a long time, especially seeing that some of the players don't even know what the new units or tech are.

They're staying on their own (much, much better funded) teams. Apparently they will be segregating the players, no non-bw pros get to participate, so that they are on relatively even footing. I'm sure by the time that stipulation is removed they will be the dominate force that is expected of them.

Stars will get MVP back on their team SKT with Boxer and MMA STX getting their Tushin back KHAN get Anyppi and that Rygul2 guy Team 8 gets MC And so on. If they are really hoping to dominate in SC2, they need to bring these guys for practice.

That might actually be a terrible idea though, they at least need coaching and practice partners that already have been playing / coaching SC2 for a while. They would be at a severe disadvantage just because of lack of strategic understanding and not practicing against or preparing for the current optimal builds because the players dont know them.

Not sure if people will rage. The BW pro's are supposed to > everyone else.

its not even about skill ceiling, sc2 is just far inferior as a spectator sport than bw. No doubt the bw legends will show that they are forces to be reckoned with, but if the way to win is to turtle 3 base and tech to hive, sit around with 15 bl, or make a bunch of colosus and storm on 3 base... it just won't be entertaining. Poor unit design mixed with the extremely high income rate just produces the most uninteresting games. TvP (almost always results in 200/200 slugfest), PvZ (either a timing from p or turtle mass bl vs mothership stareoff) , and soon to follow TVZ with this new ling infestor style and ghost nerf just make it terribly boring to watch. I am truly saddened that the switch even has to happen. Do the bw korean pros/coaches do not forsee this? or am I being overly critical? I thought bw had more money in it than sc2 in korea.. then why are they switching into less money and worse (spectator) game?
Sad day because it's like an end of an era. SC2 just isn't the same. It doesn't have the magic of Brood War and won't replace Brood War. RIP Brood War progaming. Cheers from one of it's best years =)

Maybe, but I don't know. I mean, they might lose passion if they'll be forced to play something not BW just to earn money. I just hope that not a lot of players will retire and just stick to playing so that they'll still be around when the 2 games(hopefully) separate and BW can(hopefully) stand on its own again .

Maybe BW elitist will become more humble? The time has come after all. It's a damn shame since I like to watch BW too, but dislike the BW elitist community so I kind feel good seeing their era coming to an end on the esports side of things.
