It's cool to see you stuck around as long as I did, and became as passionate about BW as I. Damn, it's been so long, and it was so amazing. I can't believe it's about to end Haha that's amazing to hear What happened to you broodwar skills, did you also go from UMS to iccup ladder?
Throughout the years there have been so many encounters on b.net. When you were 10 I was 14 (now 23) but I started when I also was 10, so yeah... we've all been there :D
The people are as important as the game. And we still have the people, I think SC2 will be alright.

Definitely stick it out to the end of BW. Although it's good to see SC2 growing, there's still something magical about BW that SC2 can't fill yet in my opinion :D

Yeah. Bisu actually used a song of his as his intro song (after he switched from the suju one)

My interest in SC2 as it currently is has plummeted in the past year. The expansion needs to do a major overhaul of game mechanics to get me interested.
I'm sticking around for the ABL and the Sports&Games sections, though.

BW will dwindle and fade but never eradicated. As long as there are still people on iccup and there is still activity in Korea, there is always a metagame to follow. This OSL has already shown that BW is still changing. Is that right? I thought he was only helping, was there an update after that? I can imagine him not letting OSL die half way through, but I don't think he committed to anything and it might mean a very small cash prize or trophy only if he had to foot it all by himself. I'm not sure just how big he is, but OSLs aren't cheap. Maybe if KeSPA agreed to help since another failed indi league would look really bad for their SC2 plans. Well... suffice it to say I only read about him donating, not paying for all of it.

I hope Kespa's transition into SC2 will crash and burn badly. Hopefully that should tell them that Brood War can not be "succeed" into a "better" version. BW and SC2 should always be kept separate.

Guys KeSPA's tweet to a person asking when SK Planet Season II would start "Nothing's for sure yet, but we're thinking in the middle of May." !!!!

So in less than a month I might see Flash playing in a pro sc2 game? my god.

oh well, that means that the guy 2 posts up asking about Flash playing SC2 needs to wait a bit longer.

Staying for the players and the community, will stick around TL for the juicy girl blogs!

I don't see how this changes anything really other than watching games. If I were a soccer player I wouldn't stop playing if the champions league was shut down.
I must say that this might open a few possibilities too. Maybe we can start working on a world scene with koreans and foreigners. That seems to me like the only future way to create a good enough scene and audience. Maybe with some %limit on how large parts koreans and foreigners in teams etc. but anywho I don't know anything about organizing or so. It just feels like:
More koreans in foreign BW = higher skill More foreigners in korean BW = larger audience

i honestly don't know if i want to play hots because i dont remember the last time i played sc2, so shelling out $60 isn't at the top of my priorities. bw4lyf though!

Can't see myself getting very interested in SC2, and it's not really a problem to get the time going doing other things. Will probably check TL occasionally to see if any of the old bw-players are bringing some big guns into the SC2-scene, but I believe it will stop there.

I will probably lurk from time to time but I doubt I will follows SC2 or any other game after BW.
BW is/was of special value for it. Basically, it reminds me my youth when I was teenager and spent countless hours playing it. First, with campaign and then on LAN. I was such a noob those days. I've only discovered the professional scene years later after I stopped playing but b/c I played the game I could easily appreciate all the things that progamers were doing. I have been following BW for the past few years completely as a spectator and not playing much. I don't have time right now to get into any game as much as I did with BW so even if there is an amazing game I will not be able to appreciate it.
