Although I will continue with SC2 I completely agree with the LAN support part. Seriously this (LAN issue) is the most stupid shit I've seen in my life of playing video games.
I'll continue to watch SC2 tournaments and follow my favorite players but I probably won't be into it as much as I was. I used to play SC2 a fair amount but now have started playing LoL more. More enjoyable game for me.
What can I say? There will no game as entertaining, thrilling and emotional as broodwar has been. SC2 will never be of the same caliber, but I will follow it nonetheless, as will YOU!

I never really knew you, but I had you on my friends list and we played UMS (including bounds) when I was like 10 (Now I'm 19). It's cool to see you stuck around as long as I did, and became as passionate about BW as I.
Damn, it's been so long, and it was so amazing. I can't believe it's about to end
Probably not gonna come to TL anymore, I've always wondered how much more time I'd have if I didn't browse TL everyday, guess I'll find out in a couple months =(
All i know is that all things come to an end. Nothing last forever and someday I will probably see SC2 die and another game become more prominent (like SC3) or something like 20 yrs down the road or something. It's part of life. And life goes on.
I've been avoiding all of this "Death of BW" talk in hopes that it would simply fade away. I'm having a very hard time accepting this as a reality. It's like a really bad dream. The pro Korean BW scene has always been around for me... it's hard to imagine not having it anymore...

Doubt it, but I can see why SC2 players like to think that. SC2, IMHO, is not as entertaining as BW and as long as Dustin Browder remains the lead designer it'll probably remain that way until the last expansion.

post BW ? -_- to the PM, who told you that Kespa and all the official South Korean entities will ever be 100% transitioned to SC2 ? If you're concerned about Kespa and their transitions, guess you should talk to them first and message people then because, but maybe just in my opinion, just making things out won't make you a quality poster ..

it's inevitable at this point. Might as well accept it now, rather than waiting until it becomes official.

Lol this made me laugh and yet it's so true..
Also as a human being i would only be able to endure the carrot on a stick farce for so long... People are actually willing to wait 5 or so years for SC2 to only be a complete package let alone a balanced and entertaining to watch game... =P
I'll probably quit any type of competitive type of game for good. Actually I stopped playing both console/pc games some years ago, and the BW pro scene is my only link left to the gaming world. I really hope it goes on for a couple of years at least.
I've been playing SC2 for 2 years now; when I did play bw I knew of TL.net, I even saw all of the TL attacks on youtube, but I never really bothered to visit the site very much (and the forum not at all, I actually came across TL looking for some replays^^). Sad that I didn't , even so reading through this thread is hard. It's like watching an old friend die T_T. EDIT: also, 2 posts away from 1k!
