I'll stick around and hope DRTL/CRTL and whatever other foreign events we have will stay. Definitely will stay away from SC2. Playing it is meh and watching it hurts my eyes. Might take LoL more seriously if life doesn't get too hectic. TL has changed a lot in the past 2 years, not that it's a bad thing, but it just feels entirely different and it's just not my cup of tea. Thought the remaining of the BW community kept this place scoring high in the awesome-o-meter, I feel like the amount of stuff that appealed to me has slowly but surely been declining. On the "support blizzard" argument. There's just no way I can support them after what happened 4 years ago and which lasted forever. Sure from a legal point of view they were right and you can't blame them, from a different point of view, they didn't care for however long and just stirred shit up driving the sponsors away. It's not about having big money backing up BW. It's about having the awesome players who greatly influenced how awesome this game was an incentive to stay. Cheering for Fantasy to make a bang in the scene and put an end to the TBLS cult is a great part of what kept me so involved in BW and wanting to understand the game. Things like that are irreplaceable. I'm glad he was at least able to finally secure the #1 spot in the power rank before this great adventure ended.
Good Luck to everyone whatever you decide to do.

I'm gravitating towards leaving once the BW-SC2 scene starts rolling in. It just feels like a good chance to make a clean break and give something else, new and wonderful, a chance, instead of settling for something that I feel is, for the lack of a better word, inferior. I might tune in a few times, but nowhere close as frequent as before.
Just know, that even if I do decide to leave, I'll miss you guys. miss you too man. Yes, I'll still be blogging now and then. Good to hear, your work here is very appreciated Gl

Finally sleep at normal times is what i'm going to do ( all the late nights were worth it)

unless one of the expansions saves sc2 (i hope but doubt itll happen with the current development team...) i'll probably stick around various communities but not bother with sc2

Aw man..I really wish I got more involved with the TL community before all this gloom took over..lurkers op ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
I love you guys. I ended up getting really drunk tonight and I tried explaining the fantastic experience that is pro broodwar to my friends. lol I totally sounded like an anti-social nerd...nobody can understand what we've been through together. It's amazing what the internet has allowed. This is was such an integral part of my childhood and always been something throughout my life even as I transitioned to adulthood. I'm glad it lasted as long as it has. I never expected to be watching at 21 the same game I grew up playing LAN against my uncle when I was 8. This is something truly special and I'm happy to have been part of it. <3
Yes this sounds emo, I'm still "under the influence" if you will..lol.

Just watched all the pimpest plays. So good.
|
Will only stick around for the players.
This is so sad... I feel like a part of my life will be different and feel empty man...
|
It will be sad to see some familiar names on TL disappear... ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif) Still, I will stick to TL like a nasty barnacle, but stay wide away from the hellhole forums.
|
shit guys why so sad arent you wondering and looking forward to see your favourite beasts sc1 players demolish sc2 scene, personally I cant wait seeing bisu flash and jaedong killing everybody
|
It will be sad day for me. I will stick only for the players once you believe in God you can't go back.
|
fuck the cj woo guy is being very annoying in the first clip of pimpest plays 2010

Watching, playing and enjoying Starcraft 2 does not mean you dislike or hate BW
On the internet there is always this "PICK A DAMN SIDE DUDE!" and then "TRASH THE OTHER SIDE BRO!".
Fighting game fans are used to switching games all the time, from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo to Alpha 2, Third Strike, various Virtua Fighter games, Tekken, MvC2, Street Fighter 4 etc. Its a part of the community to dominate and being able to adapt to a new game, and dominate again.
I still prefer Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but i can damn well enjoy SF4, MvC3, Third Strike. I just dont understand why parts of this community just has so much trouble with it, its like some people are just too proud for their own good

Haven't touched BW for 8 months, it was the best game ever made but I just want to get on with life now. SC2 is a game for babies.
|
meh, iccup still gonna be there and so is my 1v1.
We will just have to continue and create more foreign broodwar scene.
i' ll keep doing 5 factory pushes, thats what i' ll do :D

Because it's a waste of their talent? Can you honestly tell me there's anything in SC2 that Jaedong can use his skill for? Timely injects? Muta patrols? Really? ;/

The game is still young and the dust has never settled for strats to be nailed out. Won't for a few years with expansions coming out. I'd like to see if they can do to change the scene.
I glad some fans of pro bw players still want to see their favourite players bring entertaining games in SC2.

Not switching games and not leaving either. As long as there is any BW here, I'm here.
|
Grab my jetpack and nothing to do here..
|
I've tried to give sc2 a chance but the game's nowhere near as fun and challenging as scbw so I see no reason to stick around after the switch.
