It kind of hurts my heart. Don't know about others, but I watch broodwar not to support it. I watch it because I like. When I watch BW I'm enjoying time, when I tried to watch SC2 I was barely just spending time.

Ugh, maybe I should play it some... Dota2 and LoL communities will be my new home if the foreign BW scene dies as well. One does not simply "quit" teamliquid, I won't for sure, I visit this site more than 6 hours a day average, won't stop now ![]()

I'd probably then transition into playing/watching LoL as I enjoy that. DoTA2 and Tobi-Wan's stream is also entertaining to watch. I'll maybe watch both as odd as that sounds.

As for SC2... well it's pretty lame. I'll keep popping into Bnet2 every so often to do retarded builds like "only building probes" or whatever. But that's all the fun I can really get out of it... playing for realz is really boring. Also I don't like watching SC2 (too repetitive and simple).

Yep same as this. I might stick around for a bit to see the BW players in SC2, but I'm assuming I'll get bored pretty quickly as I just don't enjoy the game. I'll still hang around for other sections of the site, though. Otherwise I'm probably gonna be focusing primarily on Dota 2. On April 21 2012 13:36 AeroEffect wrote: I honestly tried to play bw and it was like playing a new game for me so I understand why people say they dont really like sc2 after playing bw for so many years. Why not continue to support Starcraft though just because the BW-pros may/may not be switching to sc2 and completely change games and disregard what Starcraft is? Starcraft is Starcraft, weather it be BW, WoL, HotS, or any other Starcraft game that may come out in the future. I understand how some people feel about how the game is much different now but I mean, it was the same for us die-hard Gears of War fans when GoW2 and GoW3 came out. Most people who played GoW1 competitively HATED GoW2 and dont have much care for GoW3 (like myself) and just go back and play gow1. But just because the competitive players from GoW1 hated its "successors", we really dont have much choice but to move on because the the scene moved away from the game and onto the newer releases. Im not trying to start an argument or anything of the sort, I just want to understand why BW fans would rather switch and go to LoL instead of continuing to support Starcraft and helping it grow even more. It kind of hurts my heart. Well, to quote a large majority of the SC2 community whenever someone tries to point out why they think BW is a better game, "IT'S A DIFFERENT GAME YOU CAN'T COMPARE THEM!!!!" On a more serious note, I honestly do just consider SC2 to be a completely different game from BW. It has the same unit names and plays similarly, that's about it. They really are vastly different games, and I just cannot get into SC2. You could give the argument for supporting Blizzard, but honestly I really don't care to or have much desire to. They made SC1/BW 14 years ago but that's about all the investment I have with them. Aside from some time spent in SC2 beta, I haven't played a Blizzard game since SC1 (WC3, Diablo 3, WoW, etc I've never touched or wanted to touch). I'd honestly rather just move on and invest time into another game that genuinely interests me, like Dota 2 or something.

All of us who were in this know that we witnessed something unique and special, and I wish all of you (even the SKT fans) best of luck in your future endeavors. I'm gravitating towards leaving once the BW-SC2 scene starts rolling in. It just feels like a good chance to make a clean break and give something else, new and wonderful, a chance, instead of settling for something that I feel is, for the lack of a better word, inferior. I might tune in a few times, but nowhere close as frequent as before. Just know, that even if I do decide to leave, I'll miss you guys. Thank you too. We will miss you too -- we were already recently actually.

It'll be like watching World Cup Football to suddenly USA MLS status :\ It'll be a tough transition to many people. Luckily, I don't really mind SC2 so it will be interesting for me
