This is clearly in the realm of the most glorious dreams, but over the next few years it's certainly possible. I really think that SC2 brought a lot of people into ESPORTS and I also think that SC2 can't really last that long. This means that there are a lot of potential fans in the future. If the folks who quit when Kespa does and the folks who have quit before can work with the established structure of clans and tournaments and general BW badassery, we could maybe see a new and better scene in the future. That said, it's basically dreaming is that raelly what you are thinking??? bw being able to overcome sc2 for foreigners? there is not a single chance that this will happen, it didn't happen in the last 10 years, why should it happen now? as you later added, this is just an utopia of yours

-HOTS being released around the same time as... -the BW pros all starting to "appear" in SC2. they will most likely already be GM level in Wings of Liberty, but not come out "ofiicially" as they will not be the best in a game they are so late to. But with HOTS and everyone re-learning each m/u, they will have a shot at dominating everyone, including the top current pros. Will be interesting to see them help shape HOTS, and probably wreck everyone as everyone trys to figure it out. Also, right now all of the best SC2 pro's all stream on teamliquid.net as the SC2 pros interact with foreigners much more than BW pros do. So when the BW pros switch, they will probably start to interact with foreigners as well. I would not be surprised (well, I would) if we one day see a "Flash" or "Bisu" at the top of the sc2 stream list with a billion-trillion viewers.

Why not continue to support Starcraft though just because the BW-pros may/may not be switching to sc2 and completely change games and disregard what Starcraft is? Starcraft is Starcraft, weather it be BW, WoL, HotS, or any other Starcraft game that may come out in the future. I understand how some people feel about how the game is much different now but I mean, it was the same for us die-hard Gears of War fans when GoW2 and GoW3 came out. Most people who played GoW1 competitively HATED GoW2 and dont have much care for GoW3 (like myself) and just go back and play gow1. But just because the competitive players from GoW1 hated its "successors", we really dont have much choice but to move on because the the scene moved away from the game and onto the newer releases. Im not trying to start an argument or anything of the sort, I just want to understand why BW fans would rather switch and go to LoL instead of continuing to support Starcraft and helping it grow even more. It kind of hurts my heart.

I've been thinking about leaving since the MBC team got killed off but I couldn't bear to because the whole BW pro-scene is just too awesome. Now that that's being killed off too, I think I'll leave once OSL is done. I guess it was fun while it last .... Good to know you ryo ![]()

The same reason why I wouldn't watch Cristiano Ronaldo play American football or rugby. People also have other important things to do, I have to work, others might have school/exams etc.
