While I do like SC2 I doubt I'd stay here long because of it's community. So as long as the bw community is around in TL I'm sticking around.

Probably as soon as ODT is done I'm out. No more use for TL for me if there isn't BW. Maybe Foreign BW can step it up? If so... Then that would be pretty much the only reason for sticking around.

I like to think BW will still exist for me regardless of whether the pro scene goes away. I loved BW back when I couldn't even play online, I think I should be able to get by without pro scene.

I'm more of a lover of Starcraft than specifically BW (SC original, SC64, SC2), though. And as long as someone is playing Starcraft, I'll be watching. I don't care even if its some future Starcraft Ghost FPS match, it's Starcraft to me! And that means I'm tuning in!

Pro players, tournaments, and games will come and go, but my memories and happiness will stay forever : ). The game's been a great part of my life since I was 9 years old (I'm 22 now) and some e-sports affair in South Korea is not going to change what it means to me, or how close I feel to it.

Leaving for good. BW community aint what it once was. Also due to personal reasons (familial obligations).

But i'd still like to read write-ups/final edits and watch the finals from time to time. We'll see what hots/lotv holds.

If our current BW heroes are able to school these current SC2 kids then I'll gladly stay and watch, but if they underperform, then i'll be a sad man.

I actually fear I may go mentally insane from lack of BW.

The poll, as the OP instructs it should be interpretted, is misleading. If I keep coming to the forums, and I keep playing BW, and I've never been a part of the SC2 community in any way, what in the hell would I be "leaving"? On the surface, the results would seem to indicate that the people who voted that way are quitting Broodwar because it's dying, which is not the case, so I will not vote. I swear half the people who set up these polls are completely retarded.

I will start watching more of that Gem Starleague, maybe some Sayle, etc.

I feel like this is a bad dream that i can't wake up from. BW has basically survived alongside Counter Strike for such a long time. I can't take in the fact that it's finally over. (The difference between BW and SC2 is much larger than 1.6 vs Source vs GO)

Maybe i'll follow Jaedong, Flash, Bisu, Stork, and anyone who pops up in the ranks, but it seems kind of silly to have these Gods of BW to be mortals in SC2.

I hope league of legends begins to become more of a bigger esport and that will replace the role of BW below sc2... but that hole in my heart will never dissapear. i want to let tears just roll out of my eyes right now.

Im more of a old-school gamer, i have construct my own arcade (which is awesome ) and i play street fighter 3 third strike with a lot of people in the internet. If the game is good, the community will survive the test of time. Even ssf2t scene is still alive. BW cannot die because it is a gem like no other. I suck at both bw and sc2, but when i watch what flash is able to do, i simply drop my jaw. Like always their will aleays be some people that will want to discover old game, get used to the control and play. People like me. Its not because their is a proscene with amazing player that you play, but because you like the game. BW is not a e-sport, its a wonderfull game. So the game will alwYs be alive

It's interesting because all the BW fans are "growing up" in a sense from the Progaming we all know and love. Like this chapter of our lives is ending and the next one is beginning. After SC2 is fully transitioned, I will only stay in the community for the progamers that made me go to TL everyday, but never up to date on the tournaments and competitions. I'll watch their streams once in awhile, but other then that, it's time for college and then work!

To be completely honest, I really just keep up with SC2 stuff as a cheap substitute for brood war. "Anything cool going on in BW world? No? Well, let's see what happened in the GSL, I guess..." When PL goes full-fledged SC2, and the last OSL ends, I will definitely still visit TL, but I will probably only hang out in the General section.

I'll probably lurk sc2 occasionally, but I won't follow it nearly as much as I do now. I don't play Diablo games, Dota (which I have no idea what it is), LoL (I've never even looked at a screen shot of this game), so there's really very little that will actually keep me here...
